I’ve been a customer for years. I will give this restaurant 5 stars if it wasn’t for one of their waiters (Male with long hair and glasses). About a month ago I went to the restaurant for dinner with my son and dad. This specific waiter has always been rude and offer a very poor customer service, but I never cared since I loved the food so much. I will just tip him based on the service he provided. On this specific day, he completely ignored us and even took care of a group that arrived after us. I thought about leaving, but my dad had come from work and he was hungry. I called the waiter over and he took my order without writing anything down (I figured he was used to it and would remember the order). When our food arrived, my dad started eating and I realized it wasn’t what we ordered, so I called the waiter to the table to addressed my concern. He took it the wrong way and grabbed my plate and then my dad’s very rudely while my dad was still eating from it. I asked the waiter for a box and asked him to check us out. When he brought the receipt I noticed he had added the tip himself. My dad grabbed the receipt and went to the cashier to pay for the food. We left. When we got in the car, my dad told me we shouldn’t have given him any tips. His service was very poor and I won’t come ever again. I went back and requested a refund (Only tip) the cashier has always been very sweet and politely agreed. The waiter saw me and comes over with a really bad attitude and tells me “You order wrong, you always come here and never tip, you supposed to give at least 15%, that is the minimum everyone should tip” I said: “Sir, I always tip the other waiters fairly, but you always provide such a bad service that I tip you based on it” He started screaming at me amd telling me that I have to listen and respect and kept saying things in front of everyone there. I told him: “Sir, I am the customer and the one paying for the food, if you bring the order wrong, I have the right to inform you” As soon as the cashier gave me the refund receipt, I turned around a left” He then screamed and said: “Leave, leave, we don’t need you here” I was extremely disappointed and embarrased. I was just letting him know my order was wrong (Of course, he did not write anything down). My perception about this restaurant totally changed that day and it is very unfortunate that for one person I will...
Read morePearl's Chinese is by far, one of the best Chinese restaurants I've been to. And no,this isn't one of their employees talking. I really did enjoy it. I'm new to the Orlando area, and I couldn't believe all I was getting for such a fair price. Other Asian cuisine restaurants give too little, or they put too much salt into their food, but I can honestly say, I enjoyed every bite of what I ate. The veggies were crisp and delicious, the rice was delicious, and they are probably the first restaurant I've ever been to that actually has true-to-goodness Orange Chicken. Not too sweet, not bitter, and the chicken I tasted was actual quality chicken. Even the tea, served in absolutely adorable tea sets, was delicious. I had the Oolong tea, and while I haven't had the luxury of purchasing good, quality tea in a while (shoutout to Teavana!), I have to say that the tea came so close to the tea I've purchased and enjoyed before. The ONLY thing I wish I had was chopsticks to eat my food with, but I completely forgot to ask. As for the atmosphere, the owners/employees were so polite, very friendly in their calm manner, and I loved the beautiful music. The decorum of the restaurant was simple, but yet beautiful. It wasn't overdone in Chinese decorations, or with pictures that are lit up by a plug and have a moving waterfall in them (not that I hate those- I love them) .
Overall, it was a fantastic night, and I'll be sure to be back to...
Read moreWe didn’t feel like getting dressed and going out for dinner after a long day at the parks so I searched for Chinese delivery near me (Marriott Harbour Lake).
I decided to give Pearls a try despite the low reviews because the pictures of the food looked spot on for how I’m used to Chinese food looking like. I’m so happy I ordered from there, everything was so tasty.
We had the honey garlic chicken with pork fried rice and an egg roll ( dinner combo) and Szechuan beef with fried rice and hot and sour soup. The soup was absolutely perfect! I am very picky when it comes to how I like my soup and this one did not disappoint. The vinegar, pepper and soy sauce was very well balanced. There was also plenty of soft tofu, wood ear mushroom, and other staple items.
The beef was so tender and juicy with the correct texture. Not mushy. The veggies still had a nice crunch and the extra spicy sauce I requested was exactly how I wanted. My daughter’s honey chicken was so good, I can’t remember a time my daughter ate that much takeout!
Thank you for the lovely meal, especially since today is my husbands birthday and we were feeling bummed about not having the energy to go out. We still got to enjoy a yummy meal together relaxing in our time share. We will order next year when...
