I stayed here to go birding in the central Florida area while my family was away on a girls cruise. The first thing was that I was told there is a $15 a day parking pass fee. I was placed in room 511. When entering the hotel, it was clean staff was very friendly, but I must say as a brand Holiday Inn Express and Suites is not the same, and that's not good. Once I get to my room, unload all my stuff, use the restroom, I noticed when I tried to flush the toilet it wouldn't flush. I removed back of toilet, and flap was getting stuck under the chain, but it seems the chain had two rubber objects on there. Then once I adjusted it, it started filling, but it was a loud annoying sound as it filled up. I ended up calling front desk, they sent maintenance and he said it was fixed. The loud noise was still there when filling but, it flushed for a while with no issues. On my last day it started doing it again, and I just jiggled the handle until it started the loud noise of filling up. I had a king suite, and room was very spacious. Everyday when I get back in the evening trash was removed, and towels were replaced. They did not give me a new bag for the ice container neither day. The second day I wake up to go out again with my camera, and I noticed the breakfast, I think it was a veggie omelette, round turkey sausage (which I cannot stand, like the links better), biscuits, sausage gravy, and the normal cereal, pancake maker etc. I opted not to eat breakfast there that day. The second day, they had cheese omelette, same turkey sausage, and sausage gravy. I tried the cheese omelette, and toast. It was just ok. On the last morning they had fried egg, the same round turkey sausage, pork sausage links, and tater tots for the main. Tater tots were not hot, I had pork sausage links and pancakes. I also noticed they are now cutting the cinnamon rolls in half. I don't eat them, and I understand everything is going up. I just remember me going to Holiday Inn Express & Suites, getting a good rest on a good mattress, and good breakfast options everyday. The good options are not everyday now. I had to wash a load of clothes, washer/dryer was $2.00 each, which was not too bad. The is a pet friendly hotel, and I saw a guy with a dog that was higher than my waist, and had thick coat of hair. I wished they kept the pet thing to service animals only. The owner had a hard time controlling the dog, and I had just got out the shower. I have a Grandpup, but when he travel he is watched, because if they are not deep cleaning those rooms, anyone allergic to dogs could be affected. Last thing, I think this hotel was built in 2017. I know with all the guest coming through it will need repairs. I mentioned this on other location reviews, the company need a QA after repairs are done, to ensure nothing is half done, left unpainted, and up to standards. I stayed here for 3 days and for the price of $564.74, that's what I expect. As well as trash cans by elevators should be checked every so often. I'm thinking about starting to look at other options when traveling until Holiday Inn Express and Suites is back to being consistent how they were when we fell in love with staying at them. I would say try it out, just don't go to 511 with the...
Read moreIf you lose anything, do not expect to get it back because either the housekeepers doesn't clean well enough to see there's an lost and found item or someone is clearly stealing expensive goods. Left an item that has a GPS tracker ( though 12 hours MAX) and called the next day after the day of checkout in an obvious position which was on the the nightstand (I mean shame on me for forgetting but shame on the person whose cleaning the room who didn't notice an item in a clearly placed location makes me wonder about the cleanliness of the location) , I contacted somebody about it which was a really nice person who works for the company Holiday INN, but the actual employee of this location who works in the front desk was very lazy. However they finally called me and I could not pick up the phone call because I was doing something at that moment of time and they left a voicemail for me to call up this phone line. Called up the phone line and NO RESPONSE and in fact when I tried leaving a voicemail it said it was TOO full from all the people who lost their items but they weren't picking up from. Later on called the appointment making phone line and suddenly there was someone at the front who could pick up the phone. The front desk only respond to calls when your booking an appointment not when you've already been an customer. At the end, the front desk lady didn't even take me seriously and if I asked if they've checked a certain location she would just automatically say no, which confused me as I was talking to the front desk NOT the housekeeper, how would the front desk know if she checked if that's not even her duty... I realized at that point, they weren't even willing to look for it and just kept prolonging the days and hope I move on, not knowing there's a tracker on the device that showed it was in the room last seen. I was going to file a police report, which I really wanted to do, but honestly if someone is resorting to stealing or not doing their job properly I realized their life probably sucks. I ended up just cutting my loss of an hundred dollar.
I would recommend going to the hotel in the other area because literally if I could get my stuff back I would pay an extra 20-30 dollars for the areas nearby as replacing my item...
Read moreWe chose this hotel because it was affordable and close enough to the Disney parks, we figured we could Uber everywhere and save some money. We were right! This hotel was fantastic from the moment we arrived. Our flight landed early, we waited 1 minute for an Uber, and we got to the hotel 15 mins after stepping foot in the Uber. Luis at the front desk allowed us to check in three hours early! Talk about customer service!
The lobby was clean and bright and colorful and inviting. The elevators were among the fastest I’ve ever seen at a hotel. The breakfast buffet was excellent! They had at least 2-3 people working to keep the food replenished and the seating area clean. Each employee we interacted with was helpful and friendly. The pool was kind of small but it was great for our purposes. We have two young children, and they were able to safely play in the pool for hours with our supervision. The room was pretty standard, though it was plenty big for the 4 of us. The cleaning staff was courteous and friendly and did their job so quickly! The hotel was walking distance to several restaurants / pizza joints / firehouse subs / convenience store. We read reviews of people saying the rooms smelled like mildew or something. We never experienced any of that. The rooms and hallways and elevators all smelled just fine. On getaway day, our flight was not until late at night. The front desk allowed us to leave our bags safely in the main office, so we could visit Sea World for the day without lugging our stuff everywhere. When we returned, we rearranged our backpacks and then headed to the airport. Again, wonderful customer service. We appreciated this hotel and its staff, and we hope to visit...
