This "Best Shabu Shabu" belongs to the same owner as Thai Thani in Celebration FL. (The Orlando Thai Thani location is just next to this Shabu Shabu and they seem to share the kitchen). If you think no one can match the bad service in Thai Thani in Celebration, I invite you to visit this place - you won't be disappointed. The service at this Shabu Shabu is literally NON existent.
We were seated somewhat promptly only to be ignored for the next 30 minutes. After getting ahold of some personnel, we ordered Shabu Shabu. After it arrived we noticed that we were not served rice, and probably some other items that were supposed to come with it, but the waitress was no show. As soon as we finished eating though, the waitress run towards us with the check. A sure sign for us to order dessert. Table was left full of dirty dishes. After some time, we got ahold of another employee and requested to speak to the manager, instead she sent our waitress. We pointed out the dirty dishes - as a result we were told countless times it is her first day here (seriously doubt it, and even if it was, I'm going to assume that she ate in a restaurant before, so should be aware that leaving dirty dishes on table is a no no). Se we listened over and over again that she is overwhelmed, and the dishes need to be cleaned by the bus boy. For a first day she certainly knew well enough, what are NOT her duties .... But - having witnessed that the young personal, wasn't moving a single finger at all, and hang out in the back for the most part - we don't really blame her... Dessert arrived and our waitress returned about 4 more times to apologize, always leaving empty handed. Not once had she picked up just a single plate or utensil. Once we finished dessert, the check arrived promptly, and so did the bus girl (kinda late, but...). Quick dinner had turned into 2.5 hours ordeal. The restaurant was not very busy, and the young employees spent most of their time in the back, the manager included. Not once have we seen him go by a single table to check if everything was alright, well neither had our waitress. Upon leaving, we saw 3 of the young employees roaming the back parking lot, some of them busied themselves having a smoke. One star for the food - which...
Read moreLet me just say that this place could have a way better rating if it was properly staffed and take all the clutter away.
Came in for the first time on Father's Day to have dinner. The first impression is a eye sore , they have SO many artesanal statues EVERYWHERE that they are selling with big "not touch" signs and price tags ( like on every single corner).
We come in and we waited about 5 min before someone showed up and sat us down. Waited another 10 mins before our server came in. The entire time we were there we only saw 2 employees (our server and the lady cleaning the tables)
Their menu is way to big so we stick to the short version that they also gave us.
To drink I had a Thai beer Singha and my hubby had a cold thai tea. To eat I had the World noodle pho and it was very tasty. I added some spice to it to make it spicy to my taste. Hubby had the Thai fried rice with special combinations (pork, chicken, shrimp, beef) .
We also took the fried cheesecake to go and we also thought it was good.
The food came Fairly quick with not much waiting. In general if you have time to wait and have some patience then I recommend . Our server did the best she could, but they are definitely understaffed. And they need to get rid or open a separate store or area for all the artesanal statue they are...
Read moreThey need to remove the word “Best” because it isn’t, In fact, it is the WORST! When we first walked in, there was no one to greet you or lead you to your table. We had to walk to the back of the restaurant to check if anyone is back there. Should have left, the server was in the kitchen helping. We figured they must be having staffing issue like everyone else, fair enough, we decided to stay. We ordered 2 pho noodles, it was mediocre at best, they over cooked the pho otherwise it was edible. We ordered a large order of Shabu Shabu… as they had advertised Best. Well… 1 large pot of apparently Shabu Shabu sauce in pot… however all you see is water! There was no colour in the water, usually Shabu Shabu pot sauce mixture fo not look like water. The server came back with a plate of thinly sliced beef, thank his the beef was fresh along with the veggies & they used frozen udon . For $31 a pop, one would hope they used fresh noodles, is that too much to ask? We asked the server whether she could add more sauce to the Shabu Shabu mixture in the pot. She said that’s the pot mixture & not adding anything to it. The pot is just water barely any sauce. The dipping sauce they gave were equally gross. It was the...
