6-27-24 UPDATE:
At 1st we loved Tuk Tuk... Now? Well... let's just say the service and food went down hill very quickly. I am so sorry to say this as it's walking distance to the house... They were out of Chicken Satay the last 2x and coincidentally both our curries were water... Uninspiring, flavorless, lackluster... We REALLY WANTED to love these guys too and WE DO APPRECIAT3 their kind response to our initial review. But for now, I will have to stick to my guns on this update. Our server was extremely rude and short... Treated both of us like we were impositions... Like we bothered him when we asked one time for a little extra rice. We initially got VERY LITTLE RICE in the pot... not enough for 4 people (half full). Prior to this, it was always pretty full and had enough to go home with our leftovers... nope... and then he made a stink about charging us 4 dollars for a SMALL box of rice to go... We will give them one more shot in the future... Until then, it's Little Thai Cafe... They were so kind... The food was exquisite and LOADED with flavour... very authentic, HOT, creamy curries... unlike the water curry here... Now listen, my review update is based on 8 visits... yes, 8 since they opened a couple weeks back as we wanted em to succeed... We still do!!! A couple of the other servers were GREAT!!! very friendly and helpful with suggestions as they saw fit... Thanks
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
My 1st impression? Gorgeous interior... seating is tight, but comfortable. Food? Remarkable... 1st class Thai food... I highly, highly recommend Tuk Tuk... GREAT CURRY... Thai fried rice, excellent... Satay was the best I've ever had... actually, same with the curry... DO NOT let its watery nature fool you... it has TONS OF FLAVOR!!! These guys are gonna need to expand... their food is just fantastic... that being said, we tried the pineapple 🍍 fried rice... ok, it was VERY DIFFERENT... order this at ur own risk... VERY different is what I will say... but, if I could rate these guys 6☆s, I sure would!!! We'll be back!!! Thank you to our NEW FRIENDS at...
Read moreThe dining experience with Tuk Tuks was overall great but fell short in specific areas that left us slightly confused and dismayed. Let’s talk about!
First, the ambiance of the restaurant had a modern, quaint look. The overall vibe was what I would call traditional Thai paired with hippie for a modern take.
Now, let’s talk food! It was fantastic. We started with the pork egg rolls which came piping hot accompanied with a sweet chili dipping sauce. It was perfect to share and super tasty. We then ordered the massaman curry and pad Thai noodles with a spice level 3. Both of which were amazing and the right type of spice for us. Some of the best we’ve had over the years. It was accompanied with a modest pairing of white rice on a plate.
You might be asking why the 3-star then? It was at the end of the meal when we were being asked if we’d like boxes and I asked if we could get some additional rice since the modest portion was completely gone and we had more than half of our curry left. The waiter said we could at an additional cost ($4.00). I was confused and asked why this was since we didn’t even have enough rice for the meal and he basically dismissed it all together and asked if we wanted to pay for more. I pressed him a little further but he did not care about our concern and just gave me the check and avoided me from that point. It really rubbed us the wrong way. We understand a business needs to make money but we feel a cup and a half of rice is a little stingy when you are served a 3-4 cup bowl of curry. We weren’t even provided the necessary amount of rice to enjoy our entrees appropriately. It is just a bummer that small things like this have the...

We finally had some time to drop into Tuk Turk’s for lunch. It was quiet when we arrived right at 12pm and we were seated right away. Liked the inside of the restaurant and decor.
I saw the word authentic plastered all over their menu and website, but we didn't think there was anything authentic about the food and it was a bit of a disappointment unfortunately. Both of our dishes were quite sweet compared to what they should have been for an authentic dish, and they couldn’t seem to figure out the difference between pork and beef on my wife’s plate. She ordered pad kra prow (beef) and they brought it out with pork. She asked the server and he said, “no, that’s beef. Our beef is very soft.” lol what? It was pork. Looked like pork, tasted like pork and there was no question, it was pork.
I ordered the Pad See Ew. The shrimp were good. But the dish overall was so sweet! And I ordered mine at a spice level 5, their highest level. It was not spicy at all.
Also, both of our dishes were like a bowl of soup which we thought was off.
Oh well. Tried it and can’t say that I would come back. There are quite a few places I would prefer to go for more authentic Thai food.
Also, I gotta say this place is incredibly overpriced! $22 for shrimp pad see ew?! That’s crazy. It’s not even a fine dining restaurant. And $8 dollars for a glass of Thai Iced Tea??? $10 for a beer??? 🤣 That’s ridiculous. And then charging your customers a credit card processing fee too? Sorry but that’s the cost of doing business and I don’t agree with that, especially with the outrageously priced...
