This was THE worst dining experience I've ever had. We came up to Tetonia on Memorial Day to visit passed family members Graves. There were about 15 of us and we chose the Royal Wolf for lunch. We get together about once a year, so this was pretty important to us. The sign at the front said "seat yourself". After looking around inside, we settled into some tables on the front deck. The waitress was upset about this, changed the sign to say "wait to be seated", and was extremely rude. Honestly, I have never been treated so unprofessionally in my life and with the economy, I'd think the wait staff would be grateful to have our business and I'm certain the owner is/was. The blonde waitress practically slammed the small appetizer plates down next to my boyfriend. I was appalled and also a bit scared for what was going to happen next. When I say you could feel the tension, YOU COULD FEEL THE TENSION! It was ridiculous and embarrassing. When our water glasses came out, she handled those rough as well. Everything was set down with force and it was obvious that she was so annoyed. Even her tone when she took our orders was terrible... it defintely had the "what do you want" tone to it. It was not what she said, but how she said it and how she made us feel... which was unwelcome. I felt like we were being punished for wanting to share a meal together. At the end of the day, our family paid and still tipped her nicely, but I won't be back again after being treated so poorly. She honestly deserved to be sent home and with an attitude like that, would be unemployable in most industries. The experience would have been more enjoyable had the wait staff been more welcoming,...

If you want a "family place" that will have a hostess dropping F-bombs behind the bar, a server who seems to change attentiveness based on whether you are ordering higher dollar items/alcohol or not and disappointing said higher-dollar menu items then this is the place for you!

Whether we got marked because we walked in the wrong door, we were talked to rather abruptly about waiting outside because they were so busy yet got seated within 5 minutes (but waited a good hour for food).

My son, who never received a drink when we all got ours, seemed to be invisible when wanting another Pepsi (his first was brought by someone not our server) yet I was asked right away if I wanted another hard cider after she looked at his empty glass.

A well-beyond-charred burger my daughter ordered was removed off the bill but we were not approached again until we asked for the bill ourselves.

We are a reasonable family and understand when places are busy but we also don't expect to be skipped over by groups arriving after us and be subjected to the dinner show of who cusses the loudest at the bar, be they staff or patrons.

I feel like the over all rating is padded by locals because I didn't see anything justified past the cool atmosphere. We were extremely disappointed by the whole experience when we were initially stoked to try the place.

May the odds be ever in your favor if you decide...

I realize restaurants can get busy. But I have never been treated so rude, nor have I ever dealt with a server who was so biased. Our server ignored a 6 top for well over 20 min. After about 45 min, our order was taken. Fast forward 60 min later. I had asked for the bill and paid in full. We were told two times our food was 10 min away. Other tables that sat directly around us had received their orders. Finally, some food. They got almost our whole order wrong. I also ask you, dear reader, what part of southwest fajita salad does not include protein? Then our server says, " Oh, you didn't ask for protein. By this time, I had to go. I can't wait anymore and have to leave. (Medical reasons) Then they told us they never put in our whole order. I am super patient; I even made sure to tip 25%. Please, management, speak with your server. I have never had such a terrible exp anywhere in the valley and have been here multiple times a year for over 30 years. As I am writing this, I now realize what it was. Our server was over-worked, but I think she thought she wouldn't make money from us. I didn't ask for a refund. But to be treated this way by an establishment with their pricing was a joke. I also don't write reviews. But it's worth noting that if you don't look the part in this place, you are ignored and treated poorly...

It's funny because when I booked our hotel online, I didn't know what to expect in the little town of Driggs. We are quite a ways from Grand Teton but I'm glad I booked here in Driggs. Otherwise we would have never discovered The Royal Wolf! This place is awesome. Definitely the local hang out. Packed with people on a Monday night. The best part is that the food is soooooo good and the drinks are OK too (prices are great compared to CA prices!!). I ordered the pork belly pita, daughter ordered the Philly cheesesteak and hubby ordered corn dogs & curds (appetizers). Everything was DELICIOUS! We are in town for one more night so we are definitely coming back!!! Must stop here if you're in Driggs!!!

I think I'm going to start a live stream of the best bars, restaurants and drives. This would be #1 on my list for this trip. We've been traveling cross country for our honeymoon and visiting this was Creme de la creme! Their food and drink menu is crazy for being only one of the 2 bars with a liquor license in town and considered a dive bar. What's best, it's cheap!! Surprisingly, very inexpensive! The bartender, Teddy, is amazing. He comes off as a standoffish, but he's funny as heck and a teddy bear! Befitting his name, but without breaking a smile 😁 LOVE IT! It's because of people like him, I'm inspired to start. I love meeting people!! Especially over good food and great drinks ❤️

Get off Main Street and sit on the porch with a cold drink and plate of delicious crafted with love food! The menu, service, atmosphere, are all top notch. RW is known regionally for their full custom hamburger. But the goodness does not sto there. Salids and fish & chips were on the menu. If you’re lucky Bennie will be your server, the man with a plan! Wanting a quality meal with lovely outdoor seating then Royal Wolf is the plan!
