TLDR: Slow order, good service, delicious food. We (party of 3) walked in around 5:30 in the evening and were immediately seated at one of only two open tables. The rest were filled. Adding onto the effect of busyness, we could see all the servers scurrying around and the kitchen staff (open kitchen concept) actively cooking. We were given our menus and a tall bottle of tap water to keep in the center of our table for refills, although we were poured water from a separate pitcher when first seated. We were served by two waitstaff, one by the name of Stacy (hopefully spelled that right) who was especially attentive. She came around after five minutes to take our orders. We got a local IPA beer and a Thai Iced Tea for drinks, and a Bison Pho, Mango Penang Curry (w/ beef), and a Pad Kee Mao (w/ chicken) for our mains. I asked for a level 2 spice in the noodle, and my fellow diner ordered a LEVEL 4 SPICE in the curry. Our drinks were delivered almost immediately. The beer was light (both look and taste) and very refreshing. The tea was creamy and sweet. Our food, on the other hand, came after a thirty minute wait. We could see that there were many order slips in the kitchen but we never got a heads-up until later (read below). When our food finally came, we dug in. Almost immediately I began suffering. My “level 2 spice” noodle dish tasted like a level 99 spice dish. I don’t know what went wrong, why it went wrong, how or where it went wrong, but apparently my fellow diners believed it was an appropriate level 2 spice. I sat here blowing my nose and eating ice cubes at the spiciness. I then tried the curry, which happened to be LESS SPICY than what I had eaten from my noodles. Go figure. Anyway, the noodles were chewy and the sauce was sweet yet sour. Absolutely delicious. The curry was creamy, full of flavor, and understandably spicy. It came with a side of white rice. The bison pho was delicious as well. The broth was clean (for lack of a better word) and the meat was tender. After we had finished (and I had finished suffering), our waitress Stacy came by to ask about desert. We ordered a lava cake. That took fifteen minutes to arrive. Halfway through Stacy came back around and looked surprised that we hadn’t received our cake yet, saying “usually it comes out right away.” Eventually, the cake came, and with two scoops of vanilla ice cream to accompany it. The cake was delivered by our other waiter, who was apologetic and said that the kitchen was totally swamped in takeout orders and again reiterated that usually it would take much less time to dish out a lava cake. Anyway, the lava cake was decadent, gooey, and very not deficient in sugar. Closing thoughts? Thanks for the awesome service and a special hats off to Stacy. Food, delicious. Spice, killed me. Warm decor. Orders took a bit too long to come out. Otherwise, would recommend and come back again.

Was looking for Asian food for my birthday. There were two choices in town but decided to go with Teton because I was intrigued by the bison pho. We looked a hot mess and were exhausted having been on the river fly fishing all day. I told my husband I just wanted to go in and have dinner instead of going back to our RV. Plus, hey it’s my birthday I can look a mess if I want. I say that because I feel that reflected upon the level of service we received. My husband ordered a drink and I ordered a Thai tea. Unfortunately they no longer give out straws which makes it hard to drink the Thai tea through all the slushy ice in the glass but no big deal. My husband’s food came and his looked and tasted fine he said. My pho on the other hand was tepid. I had my husband try it and we sent it back. No other “condiments” came with the pho plus I thought that was odd a pho should be hot so that the meat can cook when placed in. They must keep it in a fridge and then reheat as ordered. The young gal who delivered our food (not our waitress) came back and said they were reheating my soup. About 10 minutes later she (still not our waitress) brought out my pho steaming hot. A few minutes after that she (still not our waitress) brought me out a plate with wilted items to go along with my pho. I’m not sure if it is because they had been sitting under a heat lamp. I didn’t say anything because I was still hungry and exhausted. The pho was okay, not the best for $22. But, then again it was pho in a Thai place, not an authentic Vietnamese restaurant. We only saw our waitress again after we’d sat there for a while. I would have like another drink. I left feeling disappointed as Asian food is my favorite. My husband doesn’t really like it. He wanted to drive me to Jackson for a nice birthday meal. Instead, I made the decision to stop here without going back to clean up and refresh. I also chose this place over what appeared to be a more authentic choice, so those two things are on me. In the end, if you are an out of towner, don’t go into this place looking a hot mess or you’ll be treated that way as the other customers appeared to get much better service. And furthermore, if you want a more authentic experience, I don’t think this is the place. Maybe try the other place—we have not tried their food either but at least you’d pay less for a bad experience.

Teton Thai is absolutely delicious! To start, the homemade lemonade was tart and so good. The appetizers were outstanding; the chicken dumplings and chicken/shrimp wontons were incredible, especially with the delicious sauce they came with. We would return just for those alone! For our main course, we ordered pad thai, which initially came spicier than we requested, but they promptly corrected it for us. We finished our meal with banana cheesecake; personally, it wasn't my jam, but my husband and daughter loved it. It also came with generously sized scoops of delicious ice cream. Overall, I really enjoyed the experience and would definitely go back. The service was a bit slow, likely due to only having two servers for the whole restaurant, but they were clearly doing their best. Despite being out of a few items, we look forward to returning next time we're in town. The restaurant's aesthetic was pleasant, and it felt very clean.

Beware of pricing bait and switch! The food is good (let’s start with that— it’s good Thai)— BUT— the menu linked from this Google site is NOT what we were charged for takeout. I’m looking at the menu and receipt right now: salad rolls are 9 on the menu; they charged us $12. Pad Thai with tofu is 14 on the menu, they charged us $20. And so on. This is bait and switch, and we were not told until we arrived to pick up the food.

Plus— a 20 percent service charge was automatically added on top of the already inflated bill, for takeout. The cashier just said “I know, we raised our prices. Covid and all” when asked about the dramatic price discrepancy. It seemed she felt bad, but nonetheless, that didn’t solve our problem.

I don’t object to paying for good food. I DO object to being lied to. As for the service charge, 20 percent seems a little steep— and it, like the menu prices, should be transparent, not a surprise at pick-up.

If we hadn’t been hungry and had hungry people at home, we could have walked away. If we had seen the prices up front and made an informed decision, we might have even posted a decent review as the food is good, had we not been charged overall about half again as much as we expected.

Super disappointing. We...
