My family and I go to this Baskin Robbin’s/Dunkin Donuts at least once every 10 days. Generally service is acceptable but coffee and ice cream is good so we go often. Today my family went in, ordered 3 ice creams and ended up wasting 40 minutes as the shift manager Chris called the police on a women and two small kids because he does not know how to use a cash register.
My wife paid for a bill he presented to her and sat outside with the kids. Chris came out 5 minutes later and started yelling at my wife in front of the kids that she did not pay the bill. She showed him the transaction on the AMEX but he kept yelling and insisting that she didn’t pay the bill and then threatened to call the police…. She told him the bill is paid and he can call the police. So Chris called the police! While waiting for the police the other store employee realized that Chris charged my family for a prior order for 2 coffees (so customer before us did not pay), and asked if the coffees $8 can be refunded and charge again the card for three ice creams $11. This employee was very apologetic and issue was resolved. Suspecting that Chris might lie to the police my wife stayed and waited for the police who in the end apologized for the inconvenience.

My prior experiences were as follows: always out of flavors because the staff was lazy and wouldn't restock. How do I know? Because they were never busy and stayed out of stock of flavors for days. Staff had no enthusiasm, rude, and unpleasant. You could tell they didn't care about not doing their job. When entering the store, no employee up front all of them were in the back every time. They definitely weren't making more product. And I do want to make it clear it was the employees then I am talking about, but I and others did notice they seemed to be busy taking "stuff" in the back rather than working. They would also always close the store hours early, probably to do what I stated prior. Overall, it was the worst basking robins and one of the worst food places I have ever been to. They were out of one of two flavors I requested- Rocky Road- a very popular one I believe. Also out of waffle cones. They gave me a cup cone- it was stale.
Oh and manager was sitting in the small dining area with her cell phone on speaker so loud I couldn’t sit in there. I politely asked if she could turn it down a little bit please and she said “no I’m on a conference call”. I asked if she could go in her office (you’d think a manager would have one) but she said “this is the best place for me to do it”. Apparently she isn’t aware of manners or Bluetooth earpieces. Or working in her car, as I am doing to write this review.
