First time at Freebirds. I have no reason to go back.
We bought a burrito. Monster brisket to share. I was appalled at the unsanitary conditions here, this is a new restaurant that just opened. An employee took a dirty rag and was wiping a dozen trays with the same rag and putting it back in the assembly line for the next customer. I asked for a liner which they did get me a piece of foil but it’s also the same foil they wrapped my burrito in. Employee at the register also doesn’t know how to make change. The bill was $19.05. Tried not to get $.95 back so offered change to get a dollar bill back, she wasn’t capable of doing that. Final clincher is that the food is cold (meat/rice/beans, all cold). All that food is sitting on the line but obviously not kept warm. I just wasn’t interested in eating it. The girl on the food line had the sniffles, no masks here. They wear caps but the hair flows free front and back. They wear gloves but take no cross contamination measures. I would think disposable liners would be more sanitary and more cost effective than having the employee painfully slow wiping the trays. Speaking of slow, the line moved very s l o w. We were here on Mother’s Day so maybe we just caught them on...
Read moreI just go go go, so I didn’t stop and check what time Freebirds open on Google. I just noticed their website lets you place an order for whatever time, earliest was 10am, so I placed it for then. I live 2 minutes away, I didn’t need to search up where it’s at and therefore wasn’t shown the hours until I walked up to pick up the order where it states 10:30 on the door. I felt bad, and an employee came in early just to do my order. I appreciate that a lot because I wouldn’t be able to pick up the order any later for my company. There’s even another order I placed for delivery because one is gluten free and that one had a limit as the earliest availability to deliver being 11:15am. I do suggest they fix the website on editing the times they allow pickup to be, but besides that - I am really grateful! Food was...
Read moreI ordered guacamole and chips to go with other things and only get guacamole no chips. I always double check my order at this location because I’ve had problems in the past. I point that out to the lady behind the counter and she apologized and scoops the last of the chips into a bag. I look into the bag and it’s basically crushed chips. I kindly ask do you have other chips? She walks down to the other side grabs a new bin of chips then starts aggressively filling the bag. Not saying a word then plops the bag by my order. I was taken back by the attitude for asking for different chips. Not necessary, that’s not being hospitable in hospitality. Tipped 15% on the order which I have no problem tipping on to go. Didn’t appreciate the attitude. I see why you only have a 3.7 rating. Monday...
