I've almost written this review several times now and just didn't because I didn't think it would matter. But this is easily the worst Chick Fil-A location.
I've been to Chick Fil-A in VA, MD, PA, NY, WA, FL, LA, and probably a few more states I'm forgetting. All work very well. But this location? Screws up orders regularly. Missing items. Wrong items. The drive thru line is a disaster and regularly spills out onto the main plaza road and sometimes inhibits traffic on the main road because it backs up so bad.
Truly, I think this is the result of bad management and oversight by the owner. I don't expect the high schoolers and college students to know how to run a franchise without guidance and support. I also recognize they recently lost staff due to the new school year so they are hurting for people. But the fact is they were making these mistakes even with a full staff. The problem is only exacerbated now with limited staff.
Today's example? The drive through line was wrapped around the building and spilt out on the main plaza road. The kids taking orders were letting cars turning left block the road. The line would sit unmoving for multiple minutes at a time. Usually, they have the line running in 2 lanes, but you ordered in two lines and it funneled into one. A great example of the lack of leadership. The manager should have opened up the second lane to keep cars from blocking the main road and move people through faster. Also, Mobile orders are handled through the main line so there's really no advantage to doing that and they don't have curbside pick up anymore.

Read moreUpdated review: I've had pleasant experiences here before, but had to change my review based on a recent incident on 11/16/2020 at 12PM. My company placed an online order for pickup, and when one of our employees pulled into a parking space to get the food (she wasn't the one that placed the order), she called to let the staff know that she was here for pickup for the online order. After waiting over 20 minutes, she called again. Instead of politely informing her that she would have to go in to pick up the order (she would have happily done this if she had known), the manger on staff (I think his name was Anthony) stormed over to her car and snapped at her that she was being inconsiderate and was, "making everything difficult for the staff". After the manager went off on our employee, she politely let him know that she had not placed the order, and didn't know that she was supposed to come inside to pick up (she thought that most places are doing curbside due to COVID precautions), THEN THE MANAGER WENT OFF ON HER AGAIN! He said that she, "should tell whoever DID place the order should have known". Honestly, our poor employee was near tears when she came back with the company order, and I expected better from this place. I thought that Chick-fil-A prided themselves on excellent customer service, but apparently not. Read moreWe ended up coming to this Chick-fil-A after having an interesting experience at the IHOP that is in the same shopping center. I'll write about that in another review. Unfortunately we didn't make breakfast, but the counter staff and manager were very accommodating as we had a large party of very hungry people, including 4 kids. They even gave us 5 free sandwich cards since they couldn't accommodate breakfast. That was very nice and we are grateful, as we stopped in again right before our flight back to NY to get those sandwiches on Saturday. I want to mention Emma who was very sweet and friendly on both days. She remained calm and handled the large order perfectly on Friday. There was a different team on staff for Saturday morning than the day before, and unfortunately, they missed two of our sandwiches in the drive thru bag. The order was short one sausage egg and cheese biscuit, and spicy chicken sandwich. Emma was on again, BUT to her defense, she was handed a bag by the person who just packed it, before handing it to us and we did not check the order either as we assumed that the packer had done so. That being said, the staff was again, friendly, and the food was fresh for those of us who got breakfast. I ended up picking up something else to eat in the airport before the flight.
