On Friday March 21st we went to IHOP by special request by my nephew for his 7th birthday breakfast. When we arrived, there was a man waiting in the vestibule already, who was picking up his order. We,a party of 9, were waiting to be seated. There was no host(ess), and the waitstaff seemed to be avoiding looking in our direction. After 10 minutes there with servers walking by, giving us their backs, and looking down or in another direction 😂, we said something. The server asked for 10 minutes more. There were open tables everywhere. Another family of 5 walks in. Now we're all stuffed in the vestibule. After another ten minutes passed and everyone was losing patience, the gentleman waiting for his pickup order approached the waitstaff who were huddled in the farthest corner of the restaurant to know what was going on, and they told him, they were closing the restaurant. We waited almost 30 minutes, and I have to hear that you're closing from another customer?? Shame on you (waistaff), no matter what happened to cause that situation. Next time, if this should ever happen again, at least draw straws for who has to tell the customers. Call the manager, and ask if you can compensate the patrons in some way for the inconvenience before letting them down. This could have been handled differently in several...
Read moreWe've been sitting at the table for 15 minutes before the hostess had to come and wait us for our drinks. The waiter eventually arrived after the waitress give us our drinks. He did not introduce himself but rather gave out jokes, and we have been waiting for nearly an hour since then for our food. We've seen in many other people get their breakfast and food before we did after we arrived. I am disappointed, I will not be coming back here. However one of the waitresses who was not serving us was more hospitable than our own waiter who has barely talk to us or give us any estimated time for our food since ordering. He did not acknowledge us when we tried to call for him either the last time he spoke to us.
Our food was not even good, they did not give us all the food. Food was room temperature. Friend got a well done steak when he ordered rare. All us have been very angry.
The other waitresses who were kind to us were very sweet and deserved tips more than our designated waiter. As for the manager, he was very kind and polite and understanding. He communicated very nicely and responded to us when we...
Read moreBy far the WORST Ihop I’ve ever been to. I came on my break and I was completely ignored by the waiter. I stood in the waiting area to be seated, made eye contact with the waiter so that he KNEW I was waiting to be seated. After a few minutes 2 younger girls walked in and he raced to the waiting area (now 3 people waiting) and sat them before I was seated. UNfreaking believable! When I was finally sat down (not by that waiter) they took my drink order and my order. I ordered the Spicy Buffalo chicken tenders and fries. I waited 20 minutes for my waiter to come and tell me that they made the wrong meal and they are working on it. (I’m on my break, so time is just slipping away) when I finally DO get my food. Can you can tell the difference between fresh tenders and old tenders? Well I could, because I had 2 of each on my plate. 2 of them had a beautiful color to them, hot to the touch. The other 2, dark, hard, burnt and when I tried to cut them, they cracked. Gross. Didn’t bother with them. The fries? Cold and nasty. I couldn’t imagine ever going to this...
