OMG, where do I start!!!! First of all way overpriced for what you get. Me and my family booked 4 rooms from this stupid place only because the hotel that was nearest the place we needed to go to was full. We stayed for three nights, by the third night I couldnt get out of that place fast enough. We reserved our room for 3 people, Me, my husband and my son. There was only two bath towels, so we asked for another and they told me only two towels per room. I was like, "What?????" what about my son??? So they were like, oh, well, ok, well this time. ????????? WHAT????. OK . Whatever. then after the first night, they knocked on our door and said they needed to get in for room service. We said, we didn't need room service, just give us some clean towels please. They said, no, I HAVE to get into the room. I said. No. Its clean. We just need towels. They said, WE HAVE TO GET INTO THE ROOM. I was like. Wow. so we had to stand outside our room at nine o'clock in the morning so they can take our trash out and vacuum. ???. ok, Well, they went to my brothers room and his kids were still sleeping. They did the same thing to him. He said, cant you come back in 30 min? and they said NO. haha , I'm like not believing this. other people were being woke up and standing outside their room. unbelievable. and the manager was standing watch to make sure of this. plus we have to pay 5 dollar deposit on a room card key. and you only get one. I can go on but this review will keep on going. So in other words, next year when we want to book our rooms, our business will definately not got here. This place is a joke. Oh, I do have to say this. after I checked in, this guy behind me asked to rent a room for only two hours. They didn't even flinch. So these rooms are also used for prostitution obviously, and we also observed the cleaning lady clean a room and did not change the sheets, she just made up the bed with the same sheets. GROSS. we were so grossed out. Never again. Do not Stay...
Read moreThe best motel in the San Gabriel Valley! We stayed here between homes, as we moved out of one apartment and moved into our new home as a newly married couple. The staff is awesome!!!! The owners are amazing!! Kind and accommodating and I can't say enough good things about them!! The cleaning staff is amazing as well, nice, super helpful as are all Oak Park staff, and they do a great job. Rooms are super clean. The rooms provided a comfy cozy temporary home as we prepared for Moving Day. The motel has just been renovated, with new floors, freshly painted rooms and more! Comfortable beds, TV with full cable, drawers and a closet to store luggage, clothing, toys...whatever you have with you. There is air conditioning and heating. There are microwaves and small refrigerators inside the rooms- super convenient, and WalMart is across the street, with Target, supermarkets, pharmacies, and restaurants very very close by. The motel is right by the mountains offering a BEAUTIFUL view. I cannot give them enough praise!! You can stay a night or several, or stay and pay by the week. Reasonable rates. Completely free of crime and seedy elements, this is a motel you can feel 100% comfortable bringing your child(ren) to. Always plenty of parking. In a central part of the San Gabriel Valley, located technically in Monrovia right on the Duarte border. Need a reasonably priced motel for you or visiting relatives this holiday season? Stay at Oak Park Motel. They made us feel at home and we will always remember how kind and caring the staff was. A++++++. We would give them 100 stars...
Read moreWanted to give my adult daughter a room for a week for Mothers Day as a gift. She is a single Mom raising 2 small kids and I thought a week to herself would give her some time to relax.Called this motel for rates and was quoted $ 560 for the week ($ 80 a night).I went and checked out the room,it was decent enough,so I told manager Jack that I'd take it.He said that it was $ 560 cash (which he never mentioned on the phone.I told him that I didn't carry that much cash on me,but would return tomorrow with it.He then asked for a $ 100 deposit,I only had $ 65 on me,so he took that. The next day (on Mothers Day) when my daughter didn't show up at my house,I called her and she said that she had came down with the flu and would have to pass on getting the room.I immediately went to the motel to get my deposit back. The lady there didn't seem to speak or understand much English and it was hard for me to understand her because of her heavy Indian accent. She did say that I couldn't get my deposit back and didn't seem to care that it wasn't my fault that my daughter was sick. She told me to come back tomorrow and talk to the manager.I did,and and another woman was there (I presumed was the managers wife) and she said absolutely no,that I wouldn't be getting my deposit back. She was rude and adament about me not getting my money back.I strongly advise travelers to avoid this place at all cost. They basically ripped me off for my money, and as a senior citizen on a fixed...
