I am very disappointed to say that my experience today trying to take my 10-year-old son out to celebrate his great grades turned into a not so celebrative mood. So we chose the bar seating since the other seating had a 22-30 minute wait. After being seated about maybe 11 minutes I would say the waitress took our drink order which at that point we were already ready to order our food so I asked for a water for my son and I asked for a regular Hennessy sidecar (which she charged me for a double)for me to drink the water came out 2 minutes later the drink came out about 7 to 8 minutes so for food right after we ordered our drinks my son got the brisket burger with no vegetables they were supposed to add Mayo mustard and ketchup however finally win his Burger did come out it was just mail so I got up and went and asked someone for ketchup and mustard. Hos Burger was cooked well done how he wanted and aside from the sauce he asked for not being on there he was happy with his food. I ordered the well-done tri-tip with shrimp scampi with extra sauce combo, should have been loaded mashed and broccoli however I was so shocked after such a long time that my meat wasn't cooked properly I had to ask them to redo the meat. I hadn't realized instead of just remaking the meat they would take my whole plate away and make me rewait for everything. When my plate came back out the redone meat was much smaller then the first one which made me feel like I was being punished for asking it how I liked it. So the bartender who originally took our order was very unattentive. She would only asked if we were okay after seeing I had to ask a whole nother employee for help. So unfortunately I realized after me and my son were headed to BART to go back home from trying to enjoy a meal out of our city that it hit me they never even brought out my broccoli BOTH times they brought my plate out it's sad because I used to work here years ago and from everything from my experiences I'm saying to seeing a employee make the lemonade at the bar from a jug was such a restaurant turn off idk what's going on with this establishment but I'll keep my fingers crossed for them. But from a single mom perspective I'd pay whatever with no complaints for great food and customer service but spending $100 for me and a kid to receive our food messed up and bad customer service I won't be returning....................... So a new update they gave me a $50 gift card to return so I went on September 28th an hour before they close and honestly it was worse than the first time I asked for well done me and it came out so bloody it had turned some of my mashed potatoes pink and because it took so long to order and then wait for the food I just ended up leaving hungry and...
Read moreI normally don't write reviews, but I definitely feel like I should write about my experience there last Friday night. I went for a dinner with all of my coworkers, including my boss the one of the doctors that work in our office. We called 2 days in advance to make a reservation since it would be a party of 8. When I tried to make the reservations, I was told that the managers were all in a meeting and that they would have to call us back. Never received a call back, so i called back myself on Thursday. They had no message of us calling, so I said that's fine I would like to make the reservation now. Again, they said a manager would have to call me back for the reservation. This time, I received a call a couple hours after stating that the reservation had been made. Great.
When we arrive at the restaurant on Friday night, they have no reservation for us, but the host said its no problem and sat us right away which was good. When it came time to pay the tab, my boss paid and signed the receipt and left the restaurant copy and then she left. The waitress came back a little later and said that she couldn't find the paper copy of the receipt my boss had signed and someone would have to pay. Luckily, half of the party, myself included, decided to stay for a round of beers for another hour or else apparently that would have been a free meal according to the waitress. When we got the check for the round of beers those of us who had stayed ordered, we split the bill between two of us. I was one of the people that split the bill, and when the waitress came back with the receipts to sign and both of our cards, only one card was in the card holder along with the receipts. When I asked the waitress where my card was, she said it should be in there. I said yes, it should be, however its not, there was only one card in here when I opened it. No big deal, maybe she had left it at the register or possibly given it to the wrong person. She came back and said that she had checked everywhere, including the floor and couldn't find it and she said "this has never happened to me". I told her it had also never happen to me either but I would appreciate it if she kept looking for it. I checked everywhere myself and so did my friends that were at the table with me, but never found the card. I've called back the restaurant a couple times but they do not have it, so now I will have to cancel my card thanks to the waitress that lost it.
Very unorganized as far as service, clearly, but the food is always really great. Just unfortunate that this work party that was suppose to be fun and it was a disaster thanks to this waitress not...
Read moreBJ's has always been a favorite of our family, but NOT this one. Five of us stopped here for a late lunch. Place was busy or staff was not adequate or maybe both. We had to wait 20 minutes which turned out to be longer. After being seated, our server came by and inquired about drinks. He said he would be right back with four waters; there were five of us so we corrected him. After that we ordered four coffees. He did not bring cream or sugar, nor did he initially ask if anyone wanted that. Several minutes later, he came by again, and I asked for cream and sugar, and he brought two containers of sweeteners and sugar but no cream. By the time he came by again, I asked again for cream again. He acted like he didn't know what that was. He went to the kitchen and came back with two hands full of creamer containers. By the time I got that, my coffee was cold. He didn't offer a fresh cup. He did take our lunch orders. Next, after some time, someone brought out an appetizer that my son ordered. Next, someone else brought two of the lunches. Those were soups in bread bowls. We sat and waited a long time, and he never came back.. We did not see him again. Another waiter stopped by to see how everything was. He walked up to some unhappy customers. We told him that two of our party got their lunches and finished them, and the other three of us had not been served our meals. This waiter went back to the kitchen and within about five minutes came back with our meals. We spent about two hours in there, mostly waiting, and having to ask for service of some kind. Everything we needed, including our bill, we had to ask for. I have never had such rotten service in a restaurant in my life.
We frequent BJ's in Santa Rosa frequently and have been to the one in Terra Linda when in that area, so we do know their reputation. This...
