I was pretty excited about trying this new banh mi place especially with its fusion with lobster rolls, however, I was disappointed. My biggest issue with this place is the bread itself. Vietnamese banh mi should be soft and fluffy on the inside and the outside slightly crunchy. What my wife and I received was stale bread. Never had I been to a banh mi shop and gotten such bad bread before. The filling was good, unfortunately it couldn't outshine bad bread. This place has potential and can be really good if only they change their bread recipe or just buy from other local banh mi bread makers. At first, I thought that it was just them being busy and possibly overcooked the bread or something but that wasn't the case. My siblings also went the prior weekend and experienced the same exact thing. Definitely wouldn't go out of my way again to try this place out again. Maybe if I was in the area and wanted to give them another chance in case the improved after...
Read moreTo the guy who served me today 8/29/23, thank you! I went here by myself and it was such a vibe.... until it wasn't lol. I had gotten a text from my little sis that she was in a hard lockdown, so I had to leave with a to go bag.
I'm not sharing for the sake of it, but it's because when I first came in, I was going to take the sandwich to go, but the guy who served me suggested I eat it in the store because the bread would taste better. So I agreed. He was friendly and professional. I also had the Russian Rose tea, which was awesome! not too sweet. I had to eat the Banh Mi in the car later lol.... but it was great! Great flavors, and the bread was crunchy on the outside (which I love!) The flavors in there mixed so well! Anyways, I'll be back!!! The lockdown was cleared, btw. I just wanted to say thank you to whoever it was who served me I wasn't able to get his name. The customer service was great, the place was clean, the food was...
Read moreWe've heard about this new spot through the grapevine and glad we stopped by! The owner is currently the only person doing the orders and making the sandwiches at the moment. They are hiring! The wait for our order wasn't too bad, but keep that in mind. She was extremely sweet and friendly.
We ordered a couple of banh mi Dac Biet, Singaporean Sausage banh mi, and Lobster banh mi, along with Thai Tea as it was hot out. Singaporean is your lap sung / Chinese sausage with the usual banh mi accompaniments. Dac Biet and Lobster banh mi was solid.
I thoroughly enjoyed them all. We were gifted a few Vietnamese yogurt with our order. Refreshing and light, subtly sweet; it was delicious! I haven't had this in ages, so it definitely took me back. She also lightly toasts your banh mi as well. It'll be perfect for dine-in. Hoping this location stays around; loved being able to support your local...
