Atlanta's Hidden Gem for Late-Night Korean Eats

We got spicy chicken feet, 칼국수 with whole chicken (chicken noodle soup), seafood pancake and lychee highball. I did not eat the chicken feet but my family enjoyed the marinade. Atmosphere was very nice and interior looks awesome. Service was also good. My complaint is that if you advertise “고구마튀김” (fried goguma) and it’s a Korean restaurant, general census is that you’re going to sell Korean yellow sweet potatoes, not orange American yams. Also if they’re cut like French fries they should be disclosed as such since they were not on the menu and we were surprised by what we were presented since we expected Korean sweet potatoes cut into thin ovals and fried instead of French fry cuts. On the menu there is an option called “French fries”. Hence, the “fried sweet potato” should be renamed to “orange yam fries” to avoid all confusion for Koreans at a Korean restaurant who are used to yellow yams when “goguma” is stated.

One of my favorite 2차 place in the Duluth area. We usually go here after some good pork belly at Moo Bong Ri. We have been here early and late when it was packed around 10:30 pm on a Friday night. Our first time there, we ordered the somaek tower. Give it a try! We enjoy the vibe and atmosphere. Service is always good and I usually order the sea snail salad, a little on the spicy side which I like and good portion size for three or four people.

This place is a time capsule. It brings you back to a Korean pub (hof) in the 1980s. I lived in Korea for about 3 years and it brings back to many amazing memories for me. Nothing fancy, but that is not the goal. It is all about atmosphere and good drinking food! I highly recommend this for anyone who feels homesick or wants to be transported back to Korea. I am so happy a place like this exists in the Southeastern United States....
