We have been here a few times and the food is decent but a little high priced and service is not the friendliest. We just like it because of the little TV and it's right by Hmart.
I'm not Korean, and they turned me down for having a Dol party (baby's first birthday) there when I asked. My husband, who is Korean, went back in to ask again and was accepted to the club I guess...and they explained to him all the ins and outs and how the dining room is partitioned and can be changed to accommodate the number of guests we have. LOL. Same MANAGER spoke to both of us. Unbelievable. This has been the worst case of discrimination I've ever experienced from Koreans. The first was at another restaurant where we were the only table that didn't get the free tiny yogurt drink after dinner. The second was at a stone pot bibimbhap restaurant. I swear we're nice. Maybe the toddler and baby scare them. Haha.
We are permanently taking Chang Dam off our list of places to eat. Because there's way too many great places to eat in this great city of Atlanta...and welcome my mixed babies just as they are with...
Read moreSuper disappointing second experience. The first time we ate there it was awesome. Awesome service and food. We ordered two meats which turned out to be too much for my wife and myself, so on our return visit we only ordered one meat. The difference in service between ordering one meat and ordering two is insane. We couldn't cook the food at the table, which is understandable and fine, but the amount of side dishes and dipping sauces they provide for a single meat order are drastically smaller (no dipping at all). We asked for steamed egg and were told that we had to purchase two meats to get it. We ordered a meat and the seafood pancake, spending almost $50, but we could not get a steamed egg... On top of this, we sat for nearly ten minutes before they brought the side dishes, which were on a trolly a few feet away, to the table. And after the server brought the food to our table, we did not see her again. Had to walk up to the front desk to pay. Just awful all around especially after our first experience set the bar so high for this place. Will...
Read moreWas excited to try this place out as I heard they had recently renovated, but I'm leaving very disappointed.
I went by myself and ordered a galbi lunch box. I could easily tell all the servers were busy, but they seemed to pay enough attention to group guests.
After waiting for over 20 minutes, I asked one of the servers when my food would be ready. The server went inside the kitchen to check, and I overheard a frustrated voice (god knows who) saying "just tell him it's coming." The server then told me it was almost ready, but ofc it was a blatant lie because I had to wait another 10 minutes.
When it finally arrived, some parts of the galbi were raw and reddish - clearly undercooked. My guess is that they started cooking only after I asked the server. I don't know why but both the rice and soup were served cold as well.
One would expect a meal to be decent after waiting over 30 minutes, but who knew? Wouldn't recommend this place, especially if you're visiting alone...
