Jaws Topokki Duluth (죠스 떡볶이) — Restaurant in Duluth

I loved Jaws Topokki when I was in Korea, and now they have locations in Duluth, Suwanee, and Johns Creek, so I had to visit.The new Duluth location is amazing! It’s clean, the manager is friendly, and most importantly, the food is fantastic!

The best part? It’s worth paying for out of my own pocket.

What I ordered:

Topokki (Medium Spicy) Even the medium was quite spicy, but it's a delicious kind of spicy.

Jaws Keto Gimbap This is so tasty! Perfect for those watching their carbs and the crunchy texture is amazing.

Jaws Deep Fried Set (Medium) Make sure to dip the fried items in the topokki sauce.

Jaws Cheese Ball (3 pcs) Super stretchy cheese, great for kids.

Jaws Chicken Mayo Rice Bowl Packed it to go for my husband and he loved it, said it’s perfect for a lunchbox.

Jaws Assorted Fish Cake Soup The seasoning is just right, and the fish cakes are high quality.

Jaws Slushie My friend had this one, so no review from me.

Jaws Slushie Sikhye Highly recommend pairing this with the topokki. It balances the spiciness and is just the right amount of sweet.

TL;DR: Good, fast, casual Korean food. I'll be back. Good portions for the price. Good flavor, not just a spice bomb. Nice presentation. Self-service, but they don't prompt for tips over 15%. No guilt-tripping!

The Gimbap Box is filling and offers a nice variety ($12-15); it comes with a portion of topokki and fish cake, spicy shredded pork, a few small fried items (mandu, gimmari, potato cake), and a flavorful soup. Quite satisfying.

The Jaws Fried Chicken is flavorful even without the optional cheese/onion seasonings, and has a nice finish ($6 / 3pcs + $0.50 / seasoning).

My order came out in under 10 minutes. I noticed that if an item takes longer to prepare it says so on the menu; nice touch.

This restaurant is a casual self service shop that makes topokki, gimbap, fried items, and rice bowls. The rose topokki was very creamy and had a kick of spiciness. The sauce was so delicious that it was a good sauce for fried items and gimbap. The fishcake soup was comforting and light. The gimbap was filling and yummy. All the fried items were a great portion and I really enjoyed the cheese stick. It's an awesome spot for a quick bite and to satisfy your tastebuds. Service was friendly.
