EXTREMELY MISLEAD from reviews on multiple sites. Stayed here for 3 nights. Researched hotels extensively and this one come up as 4 stars and was reasonably priced through AARP. This hotel should be rated as a 2 star hotel.
Upon arrival we were immediately met with the stench of mold and cigarette smoke even though room requested was NON SMOKING and there were signs in the room stating "non-smoking room". I always bring cleaning supplies with me and emptied a whole can of Lysol into the room with no improvement. I ended up buying another can while I was there to help with the stench. I can't even begin to verbalize how disgusted I was my entire stay here. I have stayed in 2-star hotels that put this hotel to shame. We woke up each morning coughing due to the mold in the environment. The bathroom floor had water seeping out of the floor planks where I am assuming the floor had been flooded and not properly de-humidified (there are no vents to pull air out of the bathroom as well). The carpet was very sticky, which I do not even want to think about the cause of this. The ceiling was peeling in the bathroom, there was urine on the front of the toilet which was very obviously not cleaned, and there was mold on the shower curtain. It is VERY evident that the bare minimum cleaning is done, even though their website states that their rooms are cleaned to COVID standards, this is not the case AT ALL. I had to use laundry sanitizer on my clothing and disinfectant on my items that couldn't be laundered to get the smell out of them. I was even forced to pay a $50.00 deposit for reasons that were not explained to me, I had to research extensively on the internet for this. The deposit was returned 4 business days after the charge. There were police in the parking lot of the hotel for most of the night on the Sunday night we stayed here. For the price that I paid I expected MUCH better quality than what I received....
Read moreGood morning, ||||Unfortunately, I was very displeased with the conditions of the room, that I purchased on memorial day weekend, which costed me $247.12 plus $50 dollar deposit, which was refundable. with the conditions of the room, (in my opinion) there shouldn't be a deposit AT ALL!! Upon arrival as I entered the room, I immediately smelled the stinch smell... maybe it's the carpet that needs to be deep cleaned or maybe the room hasn't been getting cleaned like it should be. there was also urine present under-neat the rim of the toilet seat, along with urine and tissue present in the toilet, so therefore it was NOT CLEANED!! There was paint peeling throughout the entire room. there were also rusted areas around the doors and hinges and on the outside of the refrigerator door, at the bottom. I seen a roach that was present on the wall, along side the curtain by the window, there were white paint stains on the curtains which was noticeable. I didn't mention to my daughter, who was present with me at the time, ALL of what I seen, because I didn't want her to freak out!! The white covers on the bed closest to the air condition, had brown stains on them. scribble writing was present on the lamp, that sits on the desk....but I thank GOD I came with all of my cleaning supplies, like I would normally do anyway, because I literally had to wipe down and sanitize everything in the room, before I brought our belongings into the room. Unfortunately, if I could have afforded to stay somewhere else, I would have but every where else was booked for the weekend, with extremely expensive high prices for hotel rooms. ||||Needless to say, the price that we as people pay to stay somewhere when we have to travel, the accommodations should...
Read moreI've read some of the previous reviews and wonder if those people with the outrageous complaints stayed at the same hotel. I'm a Diamond member and have stayed in Choice hotels all around the country. Every time I come to the Atlanta area I stay here because it's hard to beat the quality, location, and price. I've been coming here for years and haven't seen any bed bugs or roaches. I'm not saying that it didn't happen to those other guest but I also know that there are alot of people that will say and do just about ANYTHING to get something for free. The staff has always been welcoming and friendly. The rooms have always been clean and there is plenty of safe parking. I frequently see the Gwinnett county police driving thru the parking lot, plus they have cameras indoors and out. If I ever have an issue like missing a face cloth or needed extra toilet paper, they'll bring it right away...no big deal. The location is great because there are plenty of stores and restaurants with in 5mins ,including a post office, plus it's right next to the interstate, which makes it easy to get to. The beds are comfortable and the AC units, as well as the appliances, are new...including a new washer and dryer on the 2nd floor. The only reason they give out bag breakfast is because of the pandemic, which is actually wise. It shows that they are conscious and are looking out for the wellbeing of the guest,as well as,themselves. They were serving a hot breakfast b4 Covid and will again once it's safe enough to do so.Believe me,I've researched and stayed at the other Quality inns in the Atlanta area( just to compare) and this one is probably...
