Mazzy's Sports Tavern (Duluth) — Restaurant in Duluth

Omg I recommend this place 10/10 !! A hidden gem in DULUTH area, it's in the same plaza with the Asian market "JustGo". My sister invited me to Mazzy's and it was definitely a vibe. I pulled up & there were plenty of parking spots. There's a huge bar, lots of tv and a billiard (pool) area. I was super hungry so I was just focused on the food lol My peoples already ate so I had to place a separate order. There were so many things I wanted to try the fried Brussels sprouts (next time) but I decided on the GA COWBOY BURGER with truffle fries. I got the bbq sauce on the side, I'm not a saucy type of person. I like to dip lol As I was waiting on my food, I was watching my brothers play pool and taking cute pics. Music was playing, not too loud but very diverse mix so I was feeling the vibez. Wait time was about 20 minutes . Let's get into this burger, as you can see it looks amazing !!! I got mine cooked medium well and it was cooked to perfection! The truffle fries were hot and fresh with the garlic aioli, omg I was dancing with every bite! Definitely would come back again for the food and vibes. Oh yea, clean rest rooms too. I was surprise because it was super busy. So yea, check out this spot in Duluth & enjoy the Vibez !

Not my favorite sports bar. The atmosphere was decent. It's a big place with plenty of room, but I went on a Tuesday afternoon and it was not busy at all! I don't think it's a fair star review. I will have to go back during the evening to know for sure. You scan the QR code on the table for the menu, which is fine, but it's not the easiest to read on the phone. But it's a lot cleaner than touching old plastic covered menus so I'm ok with it. The main thing i needed to vent about was the waitress. She was terrible. She took forever to take my order and even longer to bring it out! This was only a beer on tap. The other people in my party ordered food after me and the food arrived before the beer. When the beer did arrive she set it down on a side table, went back to get cups of water, served those cups and then gave me my beer! From entering and sitting down, ordering, waiting for the order to finally getting the beer, it was about 30 minutes. My party was pretty much the only patrons there at the time. I was there about 2 hours and only had one beer. The time to closeout took about as long to order and I seriously contemplated leaving. The server was not rude just incredibly slow. Had a great experience at the bar! We went over to play pool and met some other ppl that were playing it was there first time playing pool here as well. We asked them if we could play after they said sure and let us play. We are then approached asking if we have a server and we said no. We had a tab at the bar. We were asked to stop playing and go tab out and pay for pool. We are about 3/4 through this game not realizing we had to pay anything. We asked if we could finish our game and she said that was fine. We finish our game and go tab out, I then went to talk to the gal who asked us to pay and asked her if we needed to pay or whatever and she said yes, then the total of 2.34 comes out and I ask is this really necessary. It’s our first time we didn’t know and no one told us until we were on the last ball she says yes you have to pay to play. I complied and paid and looked over and our table was taken over. We weren’t done playing yet. It’s not about the money. It’s about the overall experience. Now we left with a bad taste in our mouth because she wanted to be petty and charge us. I understand you may have policies but at the same time it’s situational and this situation was handled poorly. Again we appreciate the bar staff but the female manager didn’t handle us very professionally and she should have let the 2.34 go....
