Written by a non-vegan: This place is AMAZING. It just is. Go there, get anything off the menu and it will be awesome. We got chicken teriyaki, beef fried rice, wontons, and a chicken burger with fries. I wasn't sure I would like any of it because the last vegan place I went to had food that fell apart and tasted mediocre.
But this was TOTALLY different. Chicken was firm, cooked just right, seasoned with the right amount of whatever they use to make it taste like chicken, and better than any actual chicken sandwich I've had in I don't know how long. Beef fried rice was a treat because I could chew the meat and enjoy the flavor instead of gnawing and picking out unchewable pieces like regular beef.
Chicken teriyaki was flavored without being overwhelming. Sweet and sour sauce was actually sweet and sour, not just like eating syrup as it usually is from Chinese places I've ordered from. The wontons were a surprise, I'll let you find that one on your own because it was fun discovering their flavor. I liked the fries, though not everyone will because they're crinkle cut and not soaked in oil. 😄 They had a tiny bit of salty sweetness to...
Read moreOn Valentine’s Day, I called at 7:40 pm to place an order to go. The door and website state that the restaurant closes at 8:30 pm. The waitress (I believe her name was Annabelle or something similar) was extremely rude and difficult, and kept saying that the restaurant closes at 8:10 pm, and that I had to pay via the phone and could not pay when I got there which ended up being at 8:06 pm. I let her know that I was driving alone, and that the restaurant had never closed so early in the past, and that the hours do not say 8:10. I didn’t have my bag near me, it was dark and I have trouble seeing at night while driving, and I had just gotten done working a 12 hour shift on one of the busiest days of the year for my occupation (florist). I asked if there was a manager I could speak to, she said there was no manager that works at that store and doubled down on the hours which are obviously NOT true. I have never dealt with someone with such a lack of customer service and deescalation skills. Nor have I ever eaten at an establishment where management just doesn’t exist. Do better...
Read moreThe food is decent, but the service completely ruins the experience. Whether I call in or come inside, I’m always met with a rude, rushed “know what you want” attitude. There’s no warm greeting, no professionalism, and they never hand me my change with basic courtesy. I’ve been ordering here a few times a week since I work near here.
On my first visit, I tried ordering a combo by number something simple and the woman behind the counter interrupted me to ask what it was, then walked away mid-sentence. Every time I ask for a lettered or numbered item, I’m made to explain it like they’ve never seen their own menu. It’s exhausting.
It’s especially disappointing considering how small the vegan community is. We support each other, and this kind of treatment is unacceptable. I’ll be sure to let my community know to avoid this location. Maybe other locations are better managed, and hopefully the owner sees this...
