Went with my partner last night. I went, they were out of noodles for the jjigae—no biggie. But then as I'm ordering (to the nicest older lady), this one lady with a bun is giving me the biggest stink eye and then proceeds to (I assume) talk shit about me and my partner in the kitchen to the other staff (she kept looking at us as she was talking). She also stares me and my partner down as we're eating and anytime she has to give us something, she does it in the most rude and unprofessional manner possible and just throws it on the table and walks away. My soup came out spilled all over the edges and nearly got on my clothes, definitely got all over the table, and she didn't care. When I asked for napkins, she looked annoyed that I would even ask. Then when I asked the nice old lady to pay, she cut in and told us to pay up front (you have to get a receipt that the old man then types in first). We also got styrofoam cups but many other people got regular cups, but not sure why that is. We also didn't get the option to get barley tea (they didn't even offer it to us but I saw people getting it later). Overall, the food was good but the service was sooooo subpar, and I was so uncomfortable the entire time, that I never want to go again. I didn't have this experience the first time, but now that I have, I...
Read moreMy mom and I went here for a late lunch and the owners were kind enough to let us in 30 mins before closing up mid day. I love how the rice came out in its own pot so it stayed warm and turns crispy at the end. I ordered the beef soon dubu and my mom got the seafood soon dubu. I don’t know why she ordered the seafood knowing there would be shrimp. My soon dubu pot came out piping hot with plenty of beef and soon dubu! Slightly salty but delicious. My mom’s pot was piping hot too but not salty at all. Out of the side dishes my favorite was the cucumbers which were pleasantly crunchy and seasoned, the spicy pickled radishes were good as well as the small pan fried fish. My mom said the kimchi was nothing special but decent. They were kind enough to give me a to-go box for my fish and crunchy rice. Great food, great service definitely...
Read moreWe went here on a Saturday night (new year's eve weekend) and there was no wait at all! We ordered the Galbi combo with Seafood Tofu Soup, and a small Seafood Pancake for 2 people and everything were very tasty! There were about 4 pieces of Galbi (compared to 6 pieces of Galbi in a small portion f you order it separately). The Galbi was well-marinated and flavorful. The small seafood pancake was surprisingly bigger than we thought, lots of toppings inside and crispy. The banchan spread was good and we got it refilled once they're out without an extra charge. Service was quick and attentive, the lady kept checking on us to see whether we were satisfied with our food or needed anything else. Would recommend this place for anyone looking for some hearty korean meal anytime, they have large tables if you come in big...
