BSO Wings Express — Restaurant in Dumont

And now for the strangest dining experience I've had year to date. After craving wings for a week or so, doing research on a new place to try, the photos and 4.7☆ rating on Google had me excited to decide on BSO Wings.

*The 1st thing I noticed when we walked in on this somewhat warm night was no air conditioner running, just an open door and a giant fan blowing. *IMO the dance/club music with some profanities they were playing, was a little loud for an empty restaurant.

We decided on a side of Sweet Plantains and sharing 30 wings.  (Lemon Pepper, Ginger Garlic & Classic)

I asked the server if the wings were breaded, he told me yes...*None of the wings came out breaded.  I asked the server for a cup of ice to go along with my soda and he said *"we don't have ice on casual nights"  *Then 5 minutes later he came by with a cup of ice which I was quite grateful for.

I asked for a 2nd soda and *they had none, diet or regular.

Most conspicuous was *the lemon pepper wings seasoning, very unevenly distributed. Some bites had overpowering flavor and some non-existent flavor. *The classic wings were unevenly seasoned as well.

My friend and I kept looking at each other with wide eyes because there was so many strange inconsistencies.

We asked for ranch and blue cheese. *they seemed suspicious, nothing smelled spoiled, the texture and taste were almost identical, which to me was weird, and made me less interested to continue eating them.

On the way to the bathroom, I walked past an empty room, what seemed to be a dance floor. That floor was sticky, possibly from soap that was not properly rinced.  *The small bathroom was very clean.

I understand the food is made cooked to order, but it seemed like *it took longer than it should have since we were the only customers.

*The best of the 3 wing flavors were the Ginger Garlic ones. *The SWEET PLANTAINS were so good we ordered a 2nd plate! *The wing temperature was good and they were properly cooked. *Everything was fresh.

Once again, the strangest dining experience YTD.

We got there 7pm on a Thus night, the street parking was easy.  We will not...

It was 1AM on a freezing cold night when I suggested to my girlfriend that we should get some food. I’ve eaten from almost every wing establishment in the area. Almost every time I’m left disappointed but NO…. not this time. I showed up around 1:30AM and was instantly greeted upon arrival. I placed a to-go order for wings and a side of fries which happened to be ready in less than 15m!

Now for the moment of truth….. was it worth the trip? Let me tell you.. the moment I opened the container, I took one look at the wings and knew in that very moment my life would never be the same. The meat was perfectly cooked, the buffalo sauce was an absolute 10/10, and the wings were larger than most that I’ve had. I also ordered fries alongside my wings and they did not disappoint. It was perfectly coated with salt and pepper to add flavor.

Overall, this was a pleasant experience in all aspects. The service was great, the food was impeccable. I’m extremely impressed by the quality given the price. I...

UPDATE 02.16.22 The Lemon Pepper Wings.... are delicious.... Everything BSO is putting out is made to order and made with LOVE with his secret recipe... ........................................................... I was looking for a new wing spot... and I found it... I had the Sweet Chili wings and the Classic.. both were delicious... not overwhelming with sauce.. nice sized wings... cooked to perfection I must add.. these wings are hitting even cold out the fridge...
