Dumont Hot Bagels — Restaurant in Dumont

Bagels are good but when you ask for a bagel lightly toasted and every time it comes back burnt its just garbage regardless of how much flavored cream cheese you put on it.

In store service is good, minus the burnt bagels. However, the person on the phone today 10/13/2021 told me they couldn't lightly toast a bagel and ensure it wouldn't be burnt and I would have to toast the bagel myself -- excuse me? Isn't that why I'm paying $4+ for a toasted bagel with cream cheese?

I worked in food service for many years and know that the only thing needed to not burn a bagel is to turn a knob and make the conveyer in the toaster go faster for ten seconds. I am literally so upset right now just went in to get breakfast. Told them I was gonna have it to eat there that I wanted to sit down, sat down at the table. They put my food in a to go container. I was absolutely shocked. I told the girl three times that I wanted to have it there told the owner I wanted to have it there he still put it in it to go container I wanted to sit down and enjoy my breakfast and you know what I have this problem. Every single time I go into Dumont hot bagels. The owner is really rude really mean not personable at all, the staff doesn’t speak English And every time I go there it’s a horrible damn experience. PROS: Staff is always nice and the selection on their menu is plentiful. They prepare your order quickly and the prices are doable. Close to the center of town makes this location a short distance away from everything. So come in and enjoy a stay, especially since they have a TV in there

CONS: The place is cramped inside if you wanted to sit down and there's no parking except for street parking
