Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Duncan

A friend, and I, went to Sonic for half price burger night. We placed our order online, while we were in the driveway getting ready to drive up to Sonic. It took us 9 minutes to drive to Sonic from where we live. We got there and checked in and it said that our food was being prepared and it would be out soon and it arrived almost immediately but it was cold, like room temperature cold. It was like it had been cooked earlier in the day and not even kept under a warmer. When I opened the burger to check if the middle of the burger was warm, I noticed that the burger patty didn't really look like it had been cooked right. It was a weird gray color. Needless to say, it went in the trash! I am so done with Sonic! Their food quality keeps going down and their service is hit or miss, at best, although the guy that was our car hop was efficient and very nice! My last 3 visits have not been good! Sorry...

Waited literally 30 minutes after ordering, mozz sticks, a hotdog, a burrito and chili fries and they came out said “sorry for the wait here is a drink token” then took another 10 minutes to bring us the food that was 100% sitting under the warmer the entire time we were waiting. The fries congealed, the chili slid off the hotdog and into the bun, the mozz really sticks broke apart with no pull and the burrito was also congealed. we went at 10pm and got home at 11pm with nasty food and my fiancé TRIED eating the hotdog, poor thing was so hungry, took not even 2 minutes for him to start vomiting. I get being tired when you’re about to close but dude this is FAST FOOD you cannot serve old food to people after saying sorry for messing up. I have probably been to every Sonic in the state of Oklahoma. In all the little towns where you might find a diner open until 2:00 p.m. but no real restaurant, just a truck stop, you can usually find a Sonic. It was originally in Oklahoma brand but I believe it has been sold. I have not noticed any change in the quality of the food however. They make a breakfast burrito that perfectly suits my nutritional needs as well as food issues. And it's good every single time. They have other things that are amazing, about twice a year I have a footlong chili dog with onions and mustard, it's sort of a fall/spring ritual. The Sonic in Duncan is particularly busy, they do a land rush business which tells you a little something about the other fast food joints in town.
