We went to see 7th Heaven play at 3 pm. Very good crowd at start of show. We arrived a little after 1 pm to have drinks and lunch. The place is quite large. Outdoor patio seats were metal and hard to sit on. Seats at the bar were padded and much more comfortable. Seats inside also had padding. Tip ....if your going to sit at an outdoor table bring a soft seat cushion or skip the table and sit at the bar or inside. I had the boneless chicken wings. There were alot of them and they were good but I think they were frozen and pre breaded. BBQ sauce was ok. It had taken us awhile to get a menu. Over a half hour after asking our waitress. She never did bring us one but we were able to steal a menu printed on a piece of paper off of another table. We also asked the waitress and bartender for a drink menu. Apparently that is not a thing here. Bartender said we should have them but we don't. So we ordered a mai-tai that I had seen under the reviews a few days before. It was very good. Hats off to the bartender! All the food we saw looked appealing and as we got closer to show time and the place was filling up the food was coming out of the kitchen pretty regular. 2 more friends joined us just before showtime to eat and drink and they seemed to like the food. Drinks come in a neat little green plastic cup. I would like to try this place another time during non peak hours. It's a perfect little venue to watch a band play but if it rains the show will be canceled as they fo not have an indoor stage. If management is reading this there was something in the tree above the front of the stage. We were worried that it may fall down onto a customer or service team member....
Read moreOMG.... WOW! This is my first time here and I Am In Awe. I came in for something small, just a bite after a workout and WOW LOL. I ordered a Turkey BLT. It comes as a wrap or a salad and I was looking for an actual toasted bread sandwich. Boy was I amazed! Saoirse is my Staff Member (I don't like to use the word waitress its soooo cliché). I explained to her what I was looking to order and she said that they didn't have actual bread slices, but if I wanted to try it on Texas toast I could. Omg I was so delighted to try something new! I was like Yes Please ☺️. Texas Toast with turkey, lettuce, tomato, bacon, cheddar cheese, egg and avocado. Hold the onions please lol. She was soooo polite. The wait wasn't long at all. I've never had sweet potato tots before and they looked amazing. I felt like a kid in a candy store. Saoirse asked if I liked honey mustard and I replied yes, why? She said that the tots tasted great with honey mustard, so I said ok with anticipation. I almost forgot about the sandwich for the tots! Lol, I would order these and take them home for dinner or a snack. I'm just sitting here giggling to myself with my tots because here is a tasty treat. This place is located in Downtown Dundee, just east of the Fox River and north of Main Street. Great place for a big crowd or party. Indoor and patio seating. Smoking only on rooftop or courtyard only. If you've never had sweet potato tots, please make your way here, and I'm sure everything else on the menu is amazing! And make sure you tip your Staff Member....
Read moreMy parents and I visited Bandito Barney’s on the 4th of July. We waited about an hour and half for a waitress to take our order and never received service. Details: When we arrived the outdoor area was packed. We found one of the few tables available. We waited for a waitress. Finally one appeared and informed us there would be a wait due to a shift change in staff. No problem. I asked if we were supposed to have waited to be seated and she said no—she would let somebody know we were there. So we waited as the crowd really thinned out and it appeared a band packed up. We took it easy, bought drinks and waited, sort of offhandedly noting that waitresses were sparse. After about an hour we decided to move to a more visible area, right in the middle. Now the place was pretty empty. I hardly saw any waitresses, but I made eye contact with one and smiled. She passed by and attended to a table near us. Okay, she was busy, she’d get to us. We waited. We were growing impatient and probably looked like people waiting for service. So after another half hour we decided to leave rather than request service and wait more for our food. I asked to speak to a manager and the person I talked to apologized. I asked if we would be compensated in any way for not receiving service and the person said no. So what can I say? Pay attention to your customers...
