We just bought two blizzards from this location (a chocolate strawberry and a cappuccino heath). We asked twice if either contained nuts, to which the employee told us they didn't. I double checked online after we left the place because I'm accustomed to culinary negligence. Sure enough the heath bars served at DQ do contain almonds. I honestly wasn't even upset with her because I understand an employee making a mistake. But when I called to let her know (very respectfully by the way, I hope management reviews the call I made) that there are nuts in the heath bars (so somebody doesn't literally die or end up in the hospital-as I might), the girl told me that it wasn't her fault and that Hershey's put nuts in the heath bars and that it was my fault for not knowing the ingredients in the drink I was ordering. I very calmly explained to her that when somebody asks about an allergen, there should always be a label on the boxes of ingredients that lists the allergens. I told her that I understood if it wasn't listed that I was just letting her know for future customers. She continued to be disrespectful and impolite and at that point I was irritated. I never post but buyers beware -the employees at DQ do NOT care about allergens and I will not be returning to any DQ. I always hate leaving reviews but after the disrespect this was just an awful...

The staff members are truly exceptional, operating with an astonishing celerity and impeccable efficiency that is simply remarkable. Beyond their swift service, they exude an unfailing and genuine cordiality, making every interaction incredibly pleasant. Furthermore, a splendid and considerate feature is the self-serve hydration station, a most welcome amenity during the sweltering heat of a summer's day. The thoughtful provision of cups right beside it, negating any need to ask, is a testament to their proactive and superb customer service. In summation, this is, without any exaggeration, the most superior and well-managed Dairy Queen I have ever had the distinct pleasure of patronizing. It sets a new, elevated standard...
Ā Ā Ā Read more$ This is a typical DQ and typical DQ menu. It has a drive-thru as well as a patio and several tables. This is definitely a summer place. (Not sure if it has winter hours.) It is located on Rt 72 in East Dundee, close to the river and West Dundee. Plenty of parking in area in and around plus it is conveniently walkable from elsewhere in the immediate area. It's right off the bike path so walking or biking is an option. The traffic is a bit loud but you can still hear the nostalgic music coming from their speakers. We opted only for ice-cream and it was prepared fine. The only odd thing is we ordered our items together but they called them from the pickup window when it was done being prepared and called by what it was and not by our name. So remember what you ordered and listen...
