I am very disappointed at Moretti’s lack of business responsibility.
On December 9, 2023, I cracked a tooth while having dinner at the Moretti’s in Elgin. The manager took down an accident report and mentioned I would be hearing from their HR department in a week or so. He even mentioned “This is why we have insurance”.
The cracked tooth had to be removed and I am going to see about an implant. All in, this will cost between $4,000 and $5,000. I wanted the parent company (Ala Cart Entertainment) to simply cover the costs of the extraction and implant…nothing more.
It took over a month and a half in order for me to finally get in touch with someone at their corporate headquarters. This contact (HR person) was provided after numerous emails and vmails to the restaurant manager. I even tried to get in touch with them through their web site, to no avail.
I left numerous vmails for the HR contact who then put me in touch with their VP of operations. I left him a couple of vmails and he finally responded after a week. At that point, he called to ask for a copy of my dental records which I provided the same day. I requested a confirmation that he received the records and did not get a response. I sent several emails asking for a response. Each of which were ignored.
It took another month for him to get back to me. At that point he stated “I’m trying to get a response for you. I’ll call someone up the ladder.” This was over 3 months from the initial injury. I received an email later that day that simply stated “It was verbally denied” without any further explanation.
I then asked for a formal letter from your company explaining what was considered, details on exactly why it was denied and why it took over 2 months to get any response from the company. Again, this was ignored.
It has been a few weeks since our last email exchange.
If I would have broken a leg or had some other “visible” injury am sure they would have responded quicker.
Regardless of the decision that was made, their lack of communication and the fact that they ignored a customer that was injured is inexcusable.

During my recent visit to Morettis, I encountered disappointing issues with seating, utensils, and service from our waiter.
When we arrived, we specifically requested outdoor seating, but the hostess informed us that there were no available seats outside. It was disappointing to see that there were actually vacant seats in the outdoor area, which just hadn't been cleared up. We could have waited at the bar for availability. We felt that the hostess could have made more effort to accommodate our request, especially since we noticed guests leaving the outdoor area. It would have been a much more pleasant experience if they had been more proactive in finding us a suitable outdoor spot.
The waiter was unreliable, often disappearing and making it difficult for us to order. We and other customers had to seek out other waiters to find him. Meanwhile, he was very attentive and interactive with his friends who were dining.
We noticed that guests were leaving the patio area, so we asked our waiter if we could move outside. His response was unexpected - he said there was a possibility to move us outside, but he'd rather we didn't. It felt like he was being lazy, and it was disappointing because we had come specifically to enjoy the patio. We also did notice before asking that this waiter had customers outside as well and did not think it would be a problem. It's frustrating when service doesn't meet your expectations, don't you think?
The one good thing about the service is that the food runner, other waitress, and the manager that day came by our table and made up for the poor and slow service of this waiter. If it wasn't for the these particular employees I would of not left a bit more of a tip then I would have cause I know they share tips. It is not fair this this one waiter was just not up to par.
I would go back because we do enjoy Morrettis but I will make sure I do not get this waiter again if he is still employed. I do...

We order Carry out order while we were outside but then decided to dine in ... they refused to do that ...then we said it not even five min we have ordered for carry out can they switch to carry out . They somehow did the table for us . We waited for 15 mins for our server for water and drink. Then we exploaned the server the whole scenario , she agreed that she is aware of situation that we changed from carry-out to dine-in . We did place extra order for table with drink and garlic bread . After 40 mins she come and comes with cheesy garlic bread.( Wrong order, we asked for garlic bread. We didn't Sais anything as my child was hungry) Then gone for another 20 min and comes with one dish that we order originally for carry out.(brussecaetha) Then after 20 mins we called her asked for pizza and she said they making it again as they can't find our order in kitchen. Then she is gone ..we are seeing her next to our table coming every 5 mins and chit chat .. with people there serving water , drinks food and not even coming to our table once to ask for water or drink refill or nothing . Then we called her again after 30 mins asking for pizza and she just gave cold answer it's nothing I can do they are cooking once it made will bring it . Then gone for another 20 min and finally comes with wrong pizza. We had veggies on half and half was cheese, but the pizza came with veggies on whole .. When we told her.. she just took pizza without saying anything and comes after 10 mins saying do you just want to removes tomatoes from half side and it will be cheese pizza . So we just said yes as kid was hungry . By the time pizza came it was cold . It was worst worst experience . We didn't ate pizza at all The manager came and just refunded the bill that was order online and just paid what we ate there ( cheesy garlic and drinks) No apologies and behaved...
