Fantastic little spot I heard about through the Wings of Tampa Bay Facebook group. Was in the area and decided to see if a friend wanted to meet up. So we headed over for a try. And we're both absolutely glad we did!
The wings are perfectly fried (for my liking - "crispy" or "hard fried"). 20 wings for 28.99 and absolutely worth it. Perfect size (not too small, not too "jumbo"). Sauce was perfect (Franks)... I went with hot/garlic... my go-to. And I might even go a little more wet next time. Tons of chunky garlic. And the french fries... a solid 9/10 for me.
The beef on weck seemed to be the popular plate. Those were going out more than wings.
The pizza logs looked wonderful, too.
The place was jammin, but is a tad small, so don't be surprised if you have to squeeze in somewhere or have to wait for a spot.
The cook was crankin out the food, and the 2 women serving were constantly checking on us. The owner chatted with my buddy and I for a bit and was really cool. He let us know they'll work with whatever flavor requests we want to try. I'm going to have to accept that challenge. šš Will definitely be going back to try the Suicide sauce with garlic. Can't wait to make it over that way again. Even if the food was mediocre, the staff alone would be worth being a regular.
As a bonus, with the park right next door, and a nice park and pier across the street, you could make a nice little family day...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you know Buffalo food, particularly beef on weck and chicken wings, and you enjoyed them in Buffalo, you have found your home away from home. Absolutely the best. The beef on weck is a huge amount of perfectly cooked roast beef on a great weck roll, served with fries or a Mac salad and a delicious au jus and a proper horseradish. The wings are as good as youāll find in Buffalo, served with a delicious chunky bleu cheese and carrots & celery. Just the way they should be served. Charles, the owner, is from Lockport and has been in the restaurant business for years. And thank goodness he decided to relocate here. Itās a small, unpretentious spot serving great Buffalo staples. Whether youāre from Buffalo or not, definitely give it a try. You wonāt be...
