If you have a severe food allergy I would caution going here. I've been here twice now, and the first time was okay. I enjoyed the atmosphere, but due to my food allergy (and the fact that just one bite, and I go into anaphylaxis) I was nervous about my food and how it was being prepared. I was even more nervous when I started explaining my allergy and the front house manager acted like she didn't even know how to handle a food allergy. The only reason my husband and I stayed and gave it a try was because the kitchen/general manager came out and talked to me. She was the only one who even understood how my food needed to be prepared away from other foods they have. The second time we went in I felt okay because we had the same waitress. I started explaining right away about my allergy, and she remembered me. I had a gut feeling that something was going to happen if I ate here, but we were on a double date so I pushed it aside. However I did only order their house chips with NO ranch, and when it came out it had it on the tray. They removed it and none was spilled, so no big deal. As I was eating I tasted barbecue sauce, and took it out soon and I tasted it. There was something that was in my order of chips that had barbecue sauce all over it. Now my allergy is an ingredient that's used as a preservative in a lot of different things. Which is why I normally have everything ingredient wise checked for anything I'm thinking about ordering. However, the house chips are made in house and are just potatoes with some salt that should have been safe. Also, when I first went in I was told that a lot of their stuff in the back no longer had labels on them because they threw them away, or the sauces and spices they used had no way to check the ingredients. My husband loves their ribs, and so did our friends. However, they don't want to risk my allergy by us all going again. I was really excited by this place possibly being our new go to get together place. I don't want to put my life a risk by eating here, when I shouldn't have to worry about cross contamination when I'm VERY consistent about explain my allergy throughly. I'm quite disappointed about how everything has happened. I hope they get more trainning and be more accommodating with customers who have food allergies. We can't help it, and most of us feel bad for having to even go to restaurants. I've also tipped my wait staff way more that usual if they have to go check stuff in the...
Read moreI guess we stopped off at the new location in Dunn NC. I give it 2 and a half. It wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't a homerun either. The service was good. Nothing extraordinary but it was solid. The food was alright. We ordered two appetizers a battered fried green beans and fried pickles. They both had the same batter. The green beans were really good. The fried pickles were good, but the pickles didn't come through, not enough pickle taste to them. There wasn't enough of them for the price. My daughter ordered a club sandwich and I ordered a Philly cheese with fries. We both shared the sandwiches. The club was good. Just a solid club sandwich. The Philly cheese. The meat was seasoned well. There was adequate meat on it. It had onions, peppers, and mushrooms. It had a like a garlic sauce on it. That was tasty. The only part of it was that name shouldn't have been called Philly Cheesesteak. There was hardly any cheese on it. It definitely didn't look or taste like it. The fries are seasoned and cooked well. Overall its an ok place. Would I go back and eat there? Definitely not, just because it is just a run of the mill restaurant, nothing really stands out. Also the Philly should be renamed and not even mentioned cheese. If you want a Philly, just go to Jersey Mike's, it's only a block down from it. You'll probably get some cheese on it and a few...
Read moreFirst let me say, we had a party of 6, who all arrived at different times. Our waitress was wonderful and patient. She brought our drinks timely for each of the party upon arrival. She didn't rush the ordering process and kept checking on us throughout to see if we had made decisions. She was very attentive during the entire meal. The food all came out together and was freshly prepared. We had a variety to include cheeseburgers, wrap, salads and a sandwich. My husband had the steak salad with grilled shrimp. Good portion, fresh and the steak was cooked rare, which is sometimes hard to get for a salad. I had the blackened salmon bacon sandwich. It was perfectly cooked and was not dry. My only ugh moment were the onion rings. I do not like a lot of breading, but to each his own. Next time I would definitely choose the homemade chips. The rest of the party all agreed their food was good as well. One slight turn off was the ranch dressing for the side salad and fried pickles, which was a little runny, like it had been watered down. The one issue with restaurant dining, it was hot inside the restaurant. When we mentioned this to the waitress, she acknowledged and let us know she had spoken to her manager. At one point it seemed to cool off, but only for a moment, which is why I gave them a 4star. Shout out to our waitress, Tiffani J!!...
