My husband is an amputee in a wheelchair so we always call ahead to see if a place is wheelchair accessible. We were told this place was so we headed that way for breakfast. When we arrived, the handicapped parking was way around on the side by a road with heavy dump truck traffic. There was no ramp area that was accessible so he rode down the sidewalk a fair piece before getting to the door that said Closed on Sunday for Jesus. We went inside and there were no handicap accessible tables, just booths so my husband has to sit at the end half blocking the walkway through the restaurant. The waitress brought us two coffees and menus. We both found something we wanted to eat but the omelettes came with toast and grits. My dental work doesn't do well with grits and dry toast crumbs so I asked if I could skip the grits and toast for a waffle or even half a waffle instead. Instead of saying yes, or that would be a slight upcharge, the waitress looked like I had asked her for the Hope Diamond. "NO! NO SUBSTITUTIONS" We said we needed another look at the menu. None of the pancake or waffle items came with eggs, so I decided not to order anything. My sweet, patient husband flagged down a different waitress and asked to speak with the manager. I told him no, let's just get back on the road and look for better service elsewhere. We paid for our coffees and left. Now, I'm a fair to middling cook and know it is more difficult and more expensive to make toast and grits than it is to lob a ladle of waffle batter into the waffle maker. And I also am Christian enough to know that that any restaurant closed on Sunday for our Lord Jesus should know to follow Hebrews 13:2 "Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it." Heaven forbid Jesus would want to substitute a waffle for the...

A week ago today my brother when into this restaurant to eat breakfast, he's been eating there for years even the waitresses know him and what he orders before he places his order. When he received his food his grits were hard and runny (they weren't cooked all the way) he asked that the grits be taken back because they were under cooked. The manager (Billy) came over to the table and said "If we don't cook the food the way you like it I guess you better go somewhere else to eat." "Food is too expensive to be wasting." What a disrespectful and rude comment to make to a customer that's been patronizing this restaurant for YEARS. If food is too expensive to waste then why wasn't it cooked properly? When a person is spending their hard earned money they shouldn't get attitude and nastiness they should RESPECT the customer and get their food cooked right. I don't know anyone who's going to accept being treated this way you want certain nationalities to eat under cooked food and PAY for it...........NOT going to happen. I'm quite sure if the Manger went into a restaurant to eat and received uncooked food he wouldn't eat it and if that same rude comment was made to him he would feel very disrespected. There's a sign out front and at the bottom it's says "Jesus Is Lord" Now what would Jesus Do🤔🤔🤔 If I could give the Manager who's suppose to Lead By Example 1/2 of a 1/2 star I would. I will NEVER give this place another dollar the last time I checked ALL...
Read moreOn March 18th, I called to place an order not sure how rook my order but she yelled at me on the phone because I'm not knowing the omelette comes with a side so I'm asking the other people which one they want. I tell her ma'am you don't have to yell at me, she says you should have known what you were ordering before you called in. I explained to her I didn't realized it came with a side. After taking my order she hangs up on me before even getting my name. When I go to pick up my order I asked who took my order and told the person I was talking to that she needed training on how not to yell at a customer when taking the order over the phone. I check my order once in the car and realize she didn't have my hash browns in the bag so I go in to order the hash browns and she's(the rude one) is in the register looking up my receipt and I hear her call my name out loud. I asked her do you mind me asking why you're calling my name out loud, she goes on we have to match the receipt with the order. If that what helps you sleep at night. The food was great but that young lady wasn't pleasure at all. If she don't like her job she should work somewhere not dealing...
