There’s a waitress there that will essentially steal from you. I’m not opposed to being charged gratuity whatsoever, but to hide it is essentially theft. When you dine at a restaurant it is at the discretion of the server whether or not they want to charge you gratuity. No problem, they bring you back the bill and you sign it like normal, and then you know that there’s no need to leave a tip or you can leave more if you wish. Well after bringing the bill for 53 something dollars, I gave her the card, and then she returned with the card but no receipt. She said that it wouldn’t print and she was sorry. I then told her just to bring me back the original bill then. Waited there for what seemed 15 to 20 minutes so I went up to the counter and stood there. I told her I was just going to leave a tip (way more than she charged me for gratuity btw) I handed her the 20 and told her I would wait for her to find the bill and then I saw the charge pop up on my phone and as I was pulling it up she handed me the receipt and I stood there in front of her comparing the charges which was 53 on the ticket and 65 something with American Express. So, I asked her oh so you already charged me for the tip. She denied it and said the register automatically does it. I worked in food service a long time ago and to my knowledge that isn’t a thing. A restaurant doesn’t just automatically charge you a tip every time you dine. And either way, if that is the case, that’s still a 1 star in my opinion. It’s a shame they do have good food because I won’t be returning and anyone who asks me about this business will be...
Read moreHappy to support a small business as opposed to going to Chipotle on our road trip but our experience fell a bit short for takeout. After reading the handful of raving reviews from fellow Googlers it was a go for my family.
We ordered
Spinach Quesadilla (felt like only Spinach and Cheese) Spinach Enchiladas (Pretty good) Shrimp Quesadilla (Pretty good) Taco Salad (Ok, Shredded chicken isn't marinated) Side Salad (ended up being lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream lol but I don't blame em I asked him to make this off menu but more effort would've been nice) Guacamole (yum, super fresh) Tortilla Soup (they forgot it) Chips and Salsa (comes with every order, really good)
While the food was decent, they left out my specific add ons they charge for. I asked for hot sauce and Jalapeños which were both left out the order. It happens but I feel like we had these items it would've made the meal much better since we like our food with some spice. They gave us a ton of Verde and Mild Salsa which we appreciated but damn if we had the hot sauce. Overall, the taste was more on the bland side we had to drench everything with salsa (very mild). They also forgot my Tortilla Soup completely and the meals only had rice, no beans.
I'm not saying don't order. I'm just saying check your order if you takeout and if you like flavor make sure you get hot sauce and jalapeños. It was difficult for us since we had a big order. Portions aren't SO huge from what you'd expect and what was described. My favorite part was the Chips Salsa and Guac which all...
Read moreThis place was difficult to find but very well worth it, keep an eye out for the cowboy on the horse entrance is right behind you will see the only door on the white wall.
The service was very good and the host and waitress were very attentive and prompt. As we sat down menus were given to us and in less than 10 min we were ready to place our order.
No more than 10 minutes later all of our orders were brought to the table and let me tell you, we were amazed.
We ordered the 2x Chori Pollo platter and carne asada platter and 2 taco Al pastor. The Chori Pollo was the best I ever had, the chorizo topped with cheese and the breast was super juicy and fresh tasting, flavorful and amazing it was such a refreshing taste of flavors I would never forget, strongly recommend and the portions were great as well.
The carne asada was tender and delicious accompanied with the home made corn tortillas wow what a great experience.
The Al Pastor tacos had great char on the pork well balanced with caramelized onions and pineapple to add a strong flavor profile to each bite.
We love Mexican food and nothing more than great authentic tasting one at that, so please stop on by if you live near this place or you are driving down south like we were and definitely come with an empty stomach you won't be disappointed.
Will stop by here again if I'm around the area, and the price we paid for a family of for with tip was very affordable. Thank you to the entire establishment for making such a wonderful experience for us.
P.s. fresh chips and salsa was on...
