Mi Casita Dunn — Restaurant in Dunn

ROACHES-I Ordered and the food came out super fast like 5 mins. Which was a huge red flag. I forgot to order onions and peppers so when I got my food I ordered them. They took way longer which tells me they were cooked fresh. It was my mistake so I didn’t mind waiting. I got a huge plate and they were cooked great. I poured the whole thing on my steak and rice and dug in. I saw a couple of charred something in my food and I pushed it to the side thinking it was an over cooked onion. It wasn’t. It was a WHOLE COCKROACH. Even the tentacles. I think I went into shock because I realized there was 2 others and I forgot to take pictures. I called the waitress over and she acknowledged what was on my plate and took it away. 5 mins later the manager brings my plate back trying to convince me it was shredded beef. I couldn’t believe it. It was a palmetto roach not a small one so it was quite obvious. He finally came out from the kitchen but I had to go to him. He immediately told me “all I can do is remove your food” ....no I apologize no nada. I paid for my liquor and left without paying for any food because I refused. I reported them to the health dept. I do realize it can happen. My issue was they tried to lie and cover up and were not sorry about anything. They were 3 very well fed roaches in I’m assuming “fresh cut” veggies. If they are willing to do that in my face I can only imagine what they would do with a closed door....

Me and my family love this place we eat here at least once or twice a week the food is always piping hot, just don't touch your plate because it's even hotter lol, and the food is fresh and well presented and the wait staff is awesome your glass will never be empty. Might just be the best restaurant in Dunn, NC. Well at least the second best my first favorite place is this little tiny Vietnamese seafood place they make the best seafood and it's always fresh and piping hot never rubbery or chewy everything is always perfect and they give you the absolute best service you can imagine. It is called fresh seafood Express and you should really go treat yourself to the best seafood you will ever eat and it's not even near the coast. They bring their seafood in every day fresh as far as I know LOL. But don't let the looks fool you the outside might be a little in need of some touch-up paint and whatnot but believe me when I say it's the best seafood you'll ever eat, at least in my opinion. Sorry I got off track Mi Casita is freaking awesome and probably the best Mexican restaurant...

Whether it’s calling in my order for carry out or if dining in with my family Mi casita’s in Dunn is a wonderful place to chose as a place to dine for anytime of the day! They’re friendly and warm welcoming staff make the visit so much more enjoyable. My son goes in with his godmother and god father almost once a week, so when recently when we went there to eat with him as a family the waitress immediately recognized my son and was super friendly with him as well as a great hostess, unfortunately I didn’t get her name but I wish I had to be able to recognize her by name up here but it was a great experience all around. Thankfully they’re very great sports and understanding when it comes to children since mine likes to play peek a boo from under the tables lol. And The food was equally delicious as the...
