If I could give zero stars I would. The girl Shakira that works here was very rude and poorly trained. When I asked to speak to the manager, she informed me that SHE is the manager. How does someone make it to working at the manager level if they do not even know how to take someone's coffee order in an accurate and professional matter? I have worked in food service before and I know how brutal it can be but I would have never treated a customer like this.
Edit- I went back here a few days ago and had another bad experience. The girl that took my order was sweet but appeared to be new so I was patient. I ordered my signature coffee drink that I get every time- an iced mocha latte. The rude manager girl from last time brings it out to me and I notice something powdery on top of the drink.
I have ordered an iced mocha latte about a million times before and it has never come with a powdery substance on top. I ask the girl who took my order what it was and she said it was cinnamon. I told her that I didn't order it to come with cinnamon and if she could please remake it for me. She was happy to do so, but the rude manager overheard and started making faces at me and rude hand gestures and saying that it wasn't cinnamon and it was cocoa powder and if I didn't want it on top of my drink then I should have said something to begin with. I was taken back since I have never had this happen before.
Whenever I ordered an iced mocha latte at other Dunkin locations, it had never come with a thick layer of powdery cocoa or cinnamon on it. The other girl was nice and remade it for me but the manager was extremely unprofessional. I was honestly trying not to laugh because she looked absolutley ridiculous making faces at me and waving her hands around. I think the manager's name was Shakira. I have emailed corporate but Dunkin you seriously need to look into who you are hiring and promoting into being your manager. You will lose a lot of business if even your managers lack basic customer...
Read moreI work at Duke University and before the pandemic, I went to this location quite often. It was clean, the food was fresh, and the staff was professional. A couple of days ago, I went through the drive thru. My order was simple: a small coffee and a sweet pepper bacon croissant with no egg. When I pulled up to the window, I was "greeted" by a young lady with a stare as if yo ask why I was there. I waited and she said, oh! Handed me a small bag of two creamers and two sugars. So far, so good. I waited. She stared. Finally, she closed the window and went back to work. I guess to get my coffee and sandwich? I waited. Another woman opened the window and began to hand me a large bag of food and several cold drinks. I told her that wasn't my order. The window closed again. I waited. The stare girl was back and she handed me my coffee and closed the window. I waited. The other person opened the window again and asked if I needed anything else. I said I did ...the rest of my order. Which is? she asked. I told her what I ordered. Stare girl overheard and said, "my bad" and proceeded to make my sandwich...with an egg. Cold. Stare girl opened the window and handed me my cold sandwich. I told her no. She said why? I told her I would come inside. I asked for a refund and was asked how I paid. I told them the receipt is in front of them and was told to come back in 4 hours since I paid cash. The trainer, Bree, then said and did the right thing. She said, "can I please remake it for you? I'm sure you don't want to come back just for 9 dollars". She remade it (perfectly) and offered a free donut as an apology. I wrote all this to say be prepared to receive poor service at this location from everyone except Bree. Oh...and don't bother asking for anyone's name. The shift supervisor told me they can't give out names if the staff is not wearing a name tag. This begs the question: why give them a name tag in the...
Read moreThe staff there is very rude. Just left the location and while I was there a customer had walked in and asked for ice cream, the blonde haired male working was busy taking an order for drive thru so the customer asked him if it would be long. The customer left & the male worker started to speak badly of the customer about “how could ice cream take long, did he think I was going to make it?” to his coworker who had taken my order. They then proceed to start laughing and saying “okurrr” over and over again while I was just standing there. The lady named “Tika” that took my order was very rude. She spilled milk all over herself in the process of making my drink and said “all for the customer”. It’s not mine or any other customers fault that she spilled milk. She didn’t know what goes in an iced caramel latte & when her coworker told her to make it another way she responded with “what’s the difference?” And proceeded to make it her way. When I asked her to please do it his way, she throws my drink in the trash and asks her coworker to make it. It’s a shame that me being the only customer in the establishment, I couldn’t be treated with respect. I will not be returning, instead I will stick to Starbucks. If I wouldn’t have already paid for my order, I would have just walked out. People forget that it’s called “customer service”...
