I’m a coffee nerd visiting from Charlotte. I had this coffee shop saved on my list and I was very impressed. Raymond is the real deal. He served us traditional Ethiopian coffee jebena style. Ray knows everything about coffee and was great to talk with.The coffee was superb. Local pastry was good. Atmosphere is very cozy and unique. Great local, authentic coffee experience.

A delightful cup of coffee. The scone we got was fluffy and yummy. Maps took us to the back door, but finding the front door was easy and convenient. Service was nice, and if we had more time, we would have gotten the Jebena Coffee that served 4 people. If you are in the area, it's worth checking out. Gojo was a fun experience. The spices in the food were creative and fun. The coffee was good. I was told that at one point in time, Gojo made a bigger deal with the coffee experience, however, the pot, cups, and flavor were wonderful and memorable. This is a come again location. Just really loved the food.

Are use this location as a reception, and could not be more pleased with the atmosphere, food, and the service. The owner seat with us out the set up of the event to make sure that we have the sound system properly hooked up for our microphone and music. He and the staff also made sure to keep all the plates fresh and our gas able to access the lovely wine and beer, selections, chosen to serve for the event. Can't believe I'm just now finding out about Gojo. This place is an absolute gem of a cafe in the downtown Durham area. I didn't get the coffee but got a smoothie which was delicious. Customer service was also excellent and they have a huge patio for seating, in addition to the beautifully-decorated interior seating space.This certainly won't be my last visit and I'm looking forward to trying some of their other menu items and...

I just ate the most delicious protein bowl at Gojo - doro tibs + tekif gomen + kik alecha + beetroot salad + injera - and a lovely rooibos chai tea latte, all of this on the excellent advice of the owner. The cafe interior was beautiful and I look forward to eating inside one day, but for the present the patio was also a great option, quiet and pretty and shockingly un-crowded given the quality of the food and ambiance.
