I am not someone who writes lengthy reviews, but this place needs a good description. First, it's not a bad place to be if you're under 25. The price is fair and the parking isn't difficult. The inside is very akin to a frat party. A very young crowd, mainly Duke students with a few from other colleges because it's 18+. They are very clique-y so don't expect to mingle much. Like a Frat party, the room is overly crowded, stick and muggy. The students have no qualms vaping inside and will blow the vapor directly into your face. The music is bad if you're expecting any level of professionalism. The dj doesn't blend tracks, just plays the next song with a slight cross-fade, no tempo adjustments. It also is not always dancing music, just outdated popular songs. The drinks are reasonably priced, but again, more similar to what you would get at a house party. There are beer pong tables and a few booths. They do not have the mechanical bull out every night so ask the bouncer before you come in. Be sure to have 2 forms of ID, as the bouncers will sometimes assume one is fake and keep it. Honestly, I wouldn't go again, but if you're young and just wanna move it's...
Read moreif I could give this 0 stars I would. waited in line like everyone else and showed my valid nc ID. No wristband given to us. Was served at the bar. An hour later we went to get another drink and were confused to be asked for wristbands. What was a mistake on Shooter II part became a reason for the three bartenders to give us eyes, walk away from us when we walked up to the bar , and talk badly about us all night. We got the wristbands, as we were legal to drink, and the bartenders watched us all night talking rudely about us so loudly we could hear it from the booths. Really unkind and unwelcoming staff. Such a shame we live in a world with...
Read moreI wouldn't really say I was disappointed in Shooters as I did not have high hopes for this place to begin with. David Attenborough could probably narrate a Planet Earth episode filmed in there and viewers wouldn't even notice the difference. The abysmal place just seems too overhyped for a mediocre club that would have failed in literally any city with a population above five digits. The success of this nightmare could be attributed to either the lack of options in the area or the ignorance to the fact that there are upwards of millions of clubs in other parts of the world that are leagues ahead of this one. I would stick to the former...
