I have given this location several tries. For starters they seem to be intentionally slow. not a problem. ill put in my order ahead of time and pick it up but... there is one manager there who is just oblivious and sexist. he is an older white chubby guy. He has just been clueless and disrespectful 3 particular times. first time one of my hot sandwiches that I placed ahead of time and picked up about 45 minutes later. it wasn't ready. stood for an additional 10 minutes, when the sandwich came out finally, the phone rang. this manager decided to answer the phone while holding my sandwich and proceeded to take the call before HANDING me the order. strike 1. strike 2. they have their pick up orders and deliveries behind the counter with the bags facing towards the kitchen and has a sign that all orders need to be given out by an associate. there was no one in there. waiting for an associate to acknowledge me I politely waited until they were finished making sandwiches..no one at the register. when they were finished, still NO one has said one word to me, I'm obviously waiting for an order. a man walks in. this same manager greets him immediately and asks how can I help you sir! at that point I asked one of the kitchen staff if this was my order and if it was done (it was completed this entire process I remind you) and then someone finally handed me my bag. today. same manager. one lady who had a pick up or door dash order walks in the same time as me. we both stand there. her order wasn't ready. there is one guest looking at the menu and 3 workers including the manager wrapping sandwiches. I was sure my order was ready so I peaked to see if my bag was there. lady from the line said "it's not ready yet". so I stepped back confused how they even know if it was if they never asked what my name was. I stand there for almost 10 mins, they hand the order to the other lady. the manager then asks me what my name was. I tell him. the bag that has been there this entire time and was ready when I first come in IS ready. he hands me the bag and im like "so it WAS ready". i worked at a sandwich place for almost a decade and I am very understanding if it's busy or having an off day. they were not busy. manager wants to be on the line and just avoids the front. this manager is clearly SUPPOSED to be on the register but doesnt want to be. if there are peoples food that is ready to walk out the door ready to go... why arent you TRYING to get these orders and people out the door as quickly as possible? I placed these orders almost a hour in advance, literally 2 COLD sandwiches and some chips except one time there was an additional one hot sandwich. I hope upper management reads this because that guy is infuriating. none of the other staff who work in the kitchen want to help out on the register. I am almost certain that is where this manager is supposed to be in position. He chose to helped his two employees on the line when it was slow and let customers whose order was ready to go stand there for 10 minutes because?? i don't get it... if you want pick up and delivery orders to be handed out by the staff but dont even acknowledge them when they come in for that long when its slow then get a damn rapid pick up shelf so we can pick up the orders and go. thats why we placed the order ahead of time so we can come in and go. but somehow they STILL mess that up by letting READY orders sit there because no one wants to be up front. Last straw here. upper management needs to talk to that...
Read moreMy wife and I work at staples next door. We have placed about 5 orders over the last few weeks. I think maybe 1 time the order was correct but the regular sandwiches we ordered weren't even 6"long. (We got a tape measure lol) so the one order that was correct was very small sandwiches with barely anything in them. This is literally the 3rd time in a row they have forgotten to toast the bread.... and then today even as regulars that get toasted sandwiches all the time... when we receive the wrong order again with un-toasted bread... the person proceeds to tell us they don't have a way to toast the bread and they don't make sandwiches like that?????? I don't know whats going on over there but I refuse to spend another dollar knowing that everytime we try to take a lunch break.... it will be spent running back over and swapping sandwiches or now even being told we can't order what we normally order which is a Philly cheese with toasted bread...... How can a sandwhich shop with grills, hot plates, warmers etc.... not be able to toast bread...come on we get it done there all the time...... The staff and people are polite as can be but that only helps so much. Just can't do this with jersey mikes...
Read moreI eat at this Jersey Mike's location often. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is always clean. This is by and far my favorite Jersey Mikes location, and I have eaten at all of the ones in the Triangle and many more in other areas. I believe other people agree with me too, because there is often a line out the door at lunch time. The staff was happy to work with me on options for my dietary restrictions and have never judged me for them, as often happens at other restaurants. Speaking of which, every Jersey Mike's has a great gluten free option: the "sub in a tub." You can get any sub made as a salad (except meatball and chicken parm, which have bread crumbs). Overall, a great option for a quick and tasty meal! I also recommend joining the Shore Points club to earn free sandwiches and the email list, which sends out 1 or 2...
