We arrive, looks very nice from the outside, go in and inside looks nice. we are seated in a booth and its very tight, seems they tried to put to much seating in an area. waiter brought the chips which were all broken into little pieces, the salsa was in a big bowl but it was only about 1/3 filled and there was 4 of us. the salsa was not good, chips were stale. the menu was like a book and there was just too many options to choice from, we had to ask the waiter 3 times to give us more time to look at menu. when we were ready to order we had to find the waiter it had been 10 min since he last checked with us. well we ordered. my one son always get chicken nuggets and fries. that order came out 15 min later and the chicken nuggets were over cooked. then it took another 15 min before our food came out and my son was almost done eating his. the refried beans, rice and tortillas were cold as well. the waiter never came back to check on us, 25 min had past since getting our food and hubby had ended up having to ask the manager for the waiter so we can get our ticket, pay and leave. the waiter brought the ticket but it wasnt for our table. the food my have looked good but i dont enjoy eating cold food.

I was disappointed in this place. It was located near Southpoint Mall, and had a cute interior, but that was about it. The waiter seemed nice, but was very awkward and hovered around my table most of the meal. The salsa came out not even filling half the bowl. I ordered fajitas, and the size of the dish was smaller than other area mexican restaurants for the same price. I was very unimpressed when my order came out with beans and no rice. I have never ordered a fajita entree that came with beans, and no rice. The beans were hard and cold like they had been sitting for a while on the plate before it came to the table. The fajitas also did not come with sour cream, which I had to request extra. I had a shrimp tail in the fajitas with no shrimp attached (it was missing from the plate). The taste was average. I paid extra for a side of shredded cheese, and a man brought it to the table with a hair sticking right out of it. I was so ready to get my check and get out. There is a great Mexican restaurant on TW Alexander that is definitely worth the extra 15 minute drive, instead of wasting money here.

Not sure where to start. Mixed review for us. We came in kind of late, but with plenty of time before closing. The waitress obviously was ready to go home. 🤣kids. Ordering was fairly quick and easy. Two steak taco salads and diet coke. Good thing I ordered an extra side of sour cream, because it was forgotten in the salads. Salsa for chips was pretty good, but they must have been rationing it. No drink refills... at all. My friend almost choked on a fatty piece of fajita steak and had no soda to wash it down! It ended up on the table. Gross, but necessary. She lived. Thank goodness. My friend decided to go ahead and pay the bill early and the waitress in turn decided it was time to take away my almost complete salad. I think I growled at her! She wasn't even going to ask if we wanted doggy boxes! She brought the device over for paying the tab and luckily my friend noticed that she had already determined her own tip! Not today, baby girl! She did get a tip... for the type of service she provided. Is this review bad? No, not all bad. But room for improvement for sure.

I almost never spend my time writing a bad review on a business. I'd rather give kudos to those that exceeded my expectations. But after dinner at Los Tres in Durham last night, I had to share my feedback.

Where do I begin? This place must have changed management since the last time I was there. The previous few times I've been there, I was happy with the food and service.

This time, the food was dreadful. The quacamole was SO SALTY I could barely eat it. If they did it accidentally, that needs to be corrected. If it was on purpose, I guess it was done to make up for the lack of flavor in the ingredients. Without the salt, the avocado, onion, tomatoes and jalapeno didn't have much flavor.

The salsa was basically just tomato sauce out of a can with very few veggies in it. It was also salty, bland, and any store-bought jarred salsa or picante I've had in my life, was 100 times better.

My daughter and I ordered soft tortilla tacos, ground beef and shredded chicken. The beef was food processed into a mushy paste and while that is "ok", there was very little of it in the taco and again, as was everything else, bland. The shredded chicken, you guessed it, had no flavor to it according to my daughter and son, who ordered enchiladas.

The tacos were luke warm at best and I have no idea what type of lettuce was in them. It was limp and leafy. I expect it to be shredded with some crisp to it. Also, the scarce amount of cheese that was on them was SHAMEFUL! One of my daughter's tacos had just a few shreds of it on one part of the taco.

One of the reasons why we went with basic "tacos", by the way, was because everything else was SO EXPENSIVE and didn't look worth the money to me.

As for the service... it was very very frustrating for the entire meal. A HUGE communication gap, where several times we tried to tell her that we wanted the Regular size of quac, resulted in her bringing the Grande size to us ($13.99 instead of $5.99).

And, for three of us, she only brought one tiny bowl of salsa, half filled. When she came back we asked for another. And when she came back again, we asked for another and she looked down and tipped up the one bowl where we had a bit left and gave us sort of a grunt / moan, as if to tell us that we still had some left and had enough. It was so obvious... Towards the end of the meal when my son asked a fourth bowl, she didn't answer, turned away, let out the grunt / moan again and walked away. She brought it, but wasn't happy about it. All of this is something that has never happened to us at other Mexican restaurants.

Ordering was very difficult, again because of the communication gap.

Lastly, during the end of the ordering process I was having a hard time picking out my 2nd a-la-cart item. The server was impatient and even my kids noticed that she was clicking her fingernails on the table. Very rude and unprofessional.

While I hate to post such a negative review, I want others to know. For $52 we'd have gotten a MUCH better meal at a fast food joint. In fact after the quac issue, my daughter and I both wanted to walk across the parking lot to a long time favorite...

I walked in yesterday evening there’s a sign to the right that states please wait to be seated. So when I walked in, there were 3 waiters who actually walked past me gave me eye contact didn’t say anything not a hello, not a please wait, someone will be with you momentarily nothing. There was some people off to this little entrance that looks like a kitchen area. They came in and out looked at me. No one greeted me. No one said anything. So I proceeded to sit down on the bench for about 10 minutes still not one person greeted me nor asked if I needed anything. Then this lady walks in and two of the three waiters that was walking back-and-forth greeted the lady and asked did she need help. I’m sitting there in pure shock and disbelief because I sat on the bench for 10 minutes receive eye contact from several staff members and I didn’t even get a hello , but the zealousness they showed the lady who walked in was just mine blowing. I guess I had an invisible cloak on. Now, I really don’t like to speak on race, but I could not help but to wonder did my race play a major factor in the level of respect/non-servicing that I received versus the servicing, the lady received or acknowledgment shall I say. At first I was frustrated in disbelief then I felf sad then I was overcome with hurt beyond measure. There was not rational reason why they didn’t acknowledge me (ethnic) versus her (the Caucasian). I did get to speak to the manager or owner name Daniel he did apologize and said he would speak with his staff about that. I just left out after speeding with him. Why does this happen so often to people of color to be made to feel less worthy? why do people feel like we are subpar? Why do people feel they can disrespect us soo freely? I’ve been in the service business for over 30 years and there is no legitimate reason why I should have had this experience. This is a meere reflection of the kind of leadership this staff is being trained under to think that it is ok to do that. I feel this was a blatant display of the true level in which the staff feel about people of color (blacks) in my opinion. I would not give these people 1 cent of my money nor do I recommend to spend money where you are not respected or at the least worthy to be acknowledged. Daniel I know you remember me. Let this be a learning experience for your company to grow from and become better because that was...

I went in a couple of days ago to dine in with my family and was craving authentic mexican food. Apart from the low quality of food we had our service was decent but that’s not what I came on here to review.

What I came to discuss is the very unprofessional and inappropriate behavior of the manager in charge the day I went. My family and I watched her as she followed around the employees, yelling at them and having a full disregard of us —the customers. It seemed as if she was scolding her own children, mind you these are grown adults that are working and as the waiters passed by they visibly looked stressed and uncomfortable. It was a very uncomfortable experience and my husband asked our server “Are you okay?” and they replied as if they were concerned “Yes, don’t worry” I felt second hand embarrassment for these poor workers, I personally did not have any issue with my service but seeing how this lady was running around looking crazy, yelling at these workers for what seemed to me no reasonable explanation for it to be right in front of us. It was like she wanted to embarrass them. She has no professional etiquette whatsoever and to me it’s embarrassing for a business to leave such a person in charge with no respect for her employees or consideration.

I usually don’t take the time out my day to write a review about any place but this was absolutely unacceptable and I can’t stand for that type of behavior and abuse against anybody. My family and I will not be coming back to this place and that lady left a very unforgettable impression on us. Find better...
