Where do I even begin....I guess the fact that if I could I would give this place zero stars.
-horrible service
We had 3 or 4 people rotating at our table whether it was dropping something off, taking our order asking if we were okay, etc. The various waitresses asked multiple times if we were okay and we said yes and even asked for the check and they wouldn't bring it, and proceeded to wait ten minutes to come back around and ask again if we were okay. During that time, they just took my water (which I thought it was to refill it, but no) and I guess I was just done drinking at that point. Then when we finally did pay, my card ended up declining. (I've been dealing with a fraud issue with my bank account and I guess they didn't properly activate it) so when I explained that, she took my card and rolled her eyes, and proceeded to walk away as she waved my new card at her manager. When she came back with the slip to sign, I was in the middle of explaining my bank situation to my friend that I was dining with, and she proceeded to stand there waiting and watching for me to sign the receipt so she could snatch it and be done with us. Eventually she walked away, because I was proceeding with my story. However, I was so tempted to not give her a tip, lucky for her, my friend convinced me to at least leave a dollar.
-way to pricey
A bowl of guacamole or queso was $10-$13 Most of the dishes were in the $18-28 range
-tasteless food
My friend and I ordered chicken flautas. I've had them in the past at various restaurants and love them, so I wanted to give it a try. Big mistake. The entire meal was flavorless. The chicken was in big chunks and not properly shredded, so basically all the chicken actually in it just fell out with one bite. The chicken wasn’t seasoned, nor did it have cheese or any kind of sauce with it, which I'm usually used to when ordering the dish. Neither of us finished our plates.
-obnoxious atmosphere
They had live music so loud we couldn't here each other or the waitress. We had to say what multiple times to clearly make up what the waitress was asking/saying. They didn't have complimentary chips and salsa like most Mexican restaurants do, again disappointing. They did have one of the various wait staff I mentioned above to drop something off at our table, an appetizer of some sort but we didn't know what because it was just dropped and the waiter walked away. We had to ask the waitress when she came back to the table what it even was.
Basically do yourself a favor and don't bother coming here. I gave it a chance because I love Mexican food and I work in the area and it's always busy, so to me that was a good sign. However, it has to be just family friends coming around, because nobody I know would ever put up with what we did tonight. I'm not sure how they're still...
Read moreMy husband and I went to this place and it saddens me to even speak of this at this crucial state if the world in a pandemic. The environment was nice ...there were 3 tables with patrons...well over the social distance required. We ordered the fajitas 23.00, it was only enough for 4 small fajitas...we had never been able to not bring home extra from fajitas, and a lunch enchiladas 8.00 it was basically the sauce, next no ground beef maybe a tablespoon spread out (the light kind too like at Taco Bell came in a bag) not authentic thick ground beef. I had been contemplating but everything thing at “market price was 34.00” which made me suspicious...so I didn’t order an entree. We also ordered a margarita and another mixed drink. Now here it is...we tasted no alcohol in the drinks they were basically drink mix frozen and pretty with fruit...no oversized glass or anything. We received the bill...18.00 for the margarita 18.00 for the other mixed drink!!!!! The drink mix cost more than the food!!! Which was bland and mediocre compared to other Mexican restaurants around. We were are appalled and felt that this was done because we aren’t Latina and I didn’t order and entree. This is not an upscale place...seafood is expensive but....portion matters..and it’s ridiculous, 18.00 for a margarita.!!!!!!! We do not believe everyone is being charged the same price...whether it’s your heritage or the COVID-19...this is definitely not fair....there are no drink prices on the menu so beware!!! The portions were small for our choices...but we saw whole tables of food for the Latina’s in there...when we asked what they had and the price ...we were told the food they had was priced at 180.00. We will not be returning...it just seemed sneaky very sneaky...
Read moreMy review is not for the food or the drinks. It is about the experience I had last time I was there.
I called on February 13th to make reservations for 8:00pm on Valentine's Day. After arriving at the place we noticed the place was packed. I had to elbow my way to the end of the entrance corridor to flag down a server. I explained I had made a reservation for four people the day before and gave him my name. He told me to wait until there was a table available and he walked away. After 10 mins I flagged him again and told him I had made reservations the day before, once again, he asked how many people. He told me to wait until a table became available. 15 mins more go by and I managed to speak to the manager who had walked to the register by the entrance corridor. I explained to him about my reservation and he told me to talk to the women on the other side because they're the ones who wrote down all the reservations. The place really was packed, like fire-code-violation packed. I understand, it was Valentine's Day. But I couldn't even reach the hostess, when I finally did she asked for my name and told me I had to wait 20 mins, so we left, elbowing our way out because people were overcrowding the entrance corridor and wouldn't move at all.
Now, the point of making a reservation is for the restaurant to RESERVE a table for you. I shouldn't had to wait 20 more mins on top of the almost 30 minutes we waited trying to get someone to get us a table.
Perhaps the manager didn't know or wasn't properly trained on how to handle such high volume of customers, and perhaps they failed to train their servers correctly too. Did they booked way too many reservations? Probably. But that shouldn't be put on...
