Durham Distillery — Attraction in Durham

The tour was great Bob did a great job. However for some odd reason Lauren went crazy ( you could say she had a conniption) and started kicking everyone out. My friend who is a black male asked "What is going on, why did she get kicked out?" Lauren then turned on him and kicked him out and called the police on this poor guy. I tried to explain to her, my friend did nothing wrong and she needed to apologize to him for the disrespectful way she spoke and treated him. Then, I got kicked out. The police did come and he laughed at the crazy employee and told us to have fun someplace else, he agreed with us Lauren was in the wrong for what she did. The point to this is, if you want to have a good time make sure Lauren is not working or you may go to jail. All present at the time are business professionals and I'm never been treat in such an embarrassing and disrespectful way in my whole life. I still think Lauren owes all of us a very big apology. I will say the owner has reached out to us and has been very helpful in rectifying the situation. Hopefully Lauren is looking for a new job come...

Venue: amazing look and feel. This place is classy, fresh, and cool. If I didn't already like gin,I'd want to like it just to be here. *Even the bathrooms was amazing. Staff allowed us a last minute tour when we showed up close to closing. They were friendly and fun to chat with Owner was onsite. Hearing their story and getting to tour the facility was awesome. They have a unique brand and are passionate about their products (Gin and Liqours). Local: they source a lot of things locally and also were willing to brag about local places we should check out. We had one of the damn fine liquors that we purchased at a liquor store out of town. It was so good we decided to check out the distillery and try the other flavors and purchase some for home and Christmas gifts. When we arrived, the employee behind the bar did not greet us or speak. Just stared at us. So I asked to do a tasting. He then gave us a menu and we chose the 3 items to taste. He never spoke to us again. He did not tell us which liquor he was pouring or anything.
