I’m really a 3.5 stars on this one. As Starbucks goes in the area, this location is good. It’s in a fairly convenient spot and it’s a good place to hang out for a coffee or to get a bit of work done.
On service, I would say “5 stars” is the best possible service ever, or above and beyond. 4 stars is probably near flawless and highly consistent. I gave this one a 3 (reality maybe 3.5). No real complaints about the service here. In fact the staff is really great when you engage with them (giving my order, asking a question, pointing out a small error, etc).
What would earn 4+ stars on service is consistent welcoming of customers when they walk in the door. Especially compared to other Starbucks, the greeting seems rare here. As I typed this while sitting in the Starbucks, I watched three people walk in and none were greeted. I feel like it’s been this way for the past several months.
Sometimes I even walk in here and stand at the register waiting a minute+ for someone to take my order. To be clear, I’m happy to wait. But it is a little strange to stand there without anyone even looking in my direction and saying something like, “I’ll be right with you”. A bit awkward to stand there silently and not acknowledged.
The other thing is, when I pick up my order at the counter, no one says anything either. And I always say “thank you” as I grab it and walk away. No one looks up or says anything back (99% of the time) at this location. Again, this isn’t bad, but it’s just not 4+ star service IMO. Maybe I don’t day “thank you” loud enough, but there are two other Starbucks I frequent nearby and it’s the opposite at those locations: Everyone consistently smiles and waves and responds “have a good day” when I pick up my order. Read moreI always have gotten good customer service at all starbucks and I am shocked with how rude “Katie” The “supervisor” is at this location.I went through the drive through and ordered my usual. Asked for a cup of water, well upon paying I asked if they can add some chocolate curls on top of my frap and she said “sure next time i’ll have to charge tho.” I responded NICELY, sure I appreciate it. Well she hands me my drink and left. Realized She forgot to give me my water so I go through the drive through again, she opens the window and rudely asked if she can help me and I said “my water pls.” And she snapped and said well next time stop by the monitor and at this point I got annoyed because what is her problem? Well I responded with “if YOU didnt forget to hand it to me,” and she cut me off with have a nice day and SLAMMED THE WINDOW AT ME . So I went inside to ask for her name and she responded with I’m actually the supervisor. Well she shouldn’t be because she has no patience or respect to others. I wasn’t given the cookie after paying. I thought maybe I would be given the cookie with my drink. I waited 5 min or so. Then the worker making drinks said my name and told me they had to steep more black tea and it would be 5 or more min. Or did I want another drink. No, I said I’d wait. Still no cookie. I went back to counter and asked for my cookie. “Oh” I didn’t give it to you ? Oh I usually forget that “. She gets my cookie. Hands it to me. Yhew..then went back to get my drink.
