Vinnie's Pizza and Sub located is located off of Ryders Lane, 6-7 minutes outside of Rutgers Cook Campus. This pizzeria is the go to for my father and his co-worker when they are looking for a quick, delicious slice for lunch. The interior is friendly and the seats are similar to what you would see in a diner. The booths are comfortable and well cleaned/maintained. On a normal day around the lunch rush, you'd find construction workers, police officers, laborers, and other working-class members from all occupations enjoying their lunches here. My dad's general rule of thumb is that the best places to eat are where the construction workers and police eat. Vinnie's is a great place to get a slice and they always have a huge variety on walking in. Normally I would get a plain or margherita slice for my review, but my dad's go-to is the supreme slice or know locally as "the works," so I decided to go with that one. The Works has pepperoni, sausage, peppers and onions loaded on top of the slice. Often eaten in the company of a fork to scoop up the piece that fall off, this slice was a full meal in one piece of pizza. The cheese and sauce aren't as high-quality as some of the other pizzerias I've eaten at, but they are definitely fine for the working man who isn't too picky. The crust was medium thickness and more fluffy than crispy. The toppings were delicious and very filling. The trick to eating the slice without losing too many toppings is to use the folding method where the slice is folded in half "hot-dog-style." This does a decent job of keeping the topping in place. Beware, however, that sometimes the slice will tear before the crust which will lead to some contents spilling onto the plate. I wish the bottom crust of the pizza were a little thicker and sturdier to prevent this, but this minor flaw doesn't ruin the experience for me. I've concluded that Vinnie's is a decent spot, especially so if it can earn my father's respect. I do appreciate grabbing a slice where the working man eats on the regular.

I recently dined at Vinnie's Pizza & Subs, and I can't stop raving about their incredible pizzas! The Margherita pizza was an absolute delight, with its perfectly balanced flavors and that fresh basil topping – it felt like a slice of heaven. The Steak and Cheese pizza was another winner, loaded with savory goodness and a generous amount of steak. It's a carnivore's dream come true. The Vegetable pizza impressed me with its array of fresh veggies, and the flavors were so vibrant and satisfying. But let's not forget the Chicken pizza – tender chicken, flavorful sauce, and a crust that was just the right amount of crispy. It was pure pizza perfection. What's even better is the value for money you get at Vinnie's. The portion sizes are generous, and the quality of ingredients is top-notch, making it a fantastic dining choice without breaking the bank. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which added to the overall positive experience. And the restaurant itself was spotlessly clean, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. If you're in the area, Vinnie's Pizza & Subs is undeniably the place to come for a few slices. I can't wait to return and explore more of their delicious menu offerings. It's a true gem for pizza lovers!

This pizzeria is so over priced. The drinks are $4 for Snapple or bottle soda. A little outrageous. A large pie and 2 bottle drinks were $26.10. A little high considering the pizza was mediocre and had no taste at all. Cardboard tastes better than this. The guy behind the counter was not very pleasant either. The pizza sitting there was stale and old looking. When we arrived there was no plain which is why they do this to make you order a whole pie. It worth the money. The dining room area is nice but stay away from this pizza. Better pizza on Rt 18.

Would not recommend! The pizza is just ok, but you can definitely do better ANYWHERE else. The service of this place tho... omg insane.

I placed an order for pickup via their phone, figuring I bypass all those delivery apps etc and called it in. I go pick up the pizza that was for my daughters paid $34 for 2 plain pies, not bad but definitely more than I remembered being quoted on the phone but I was short on time and just moved on. After delivering the pizza to my child's daycare, we did the party etc. But it still didn't sit right with me so I go back to double check maybe my math was wrong. I go on their website only to find their "special" under the web order and if I had ordered online it would have cost me $26 - A full 23%+ mark up. Then remembering that is about what I was quoted since I wanted to make sure I brought enough cash with me at pickup, and then feeling like I paid way more than quoted (because I was).

I called the gentleman back to just raise my concern. He said I should have just used the website and that the website actually have the wrong price because they are in the process of updating it. I even paid this establishment in cash because I really want to help support local and help them avoid them credit card fee. He said that does not matter to him and that he is fine paying the fee. Ok, so keep the extra $8. If I had charged it by card, just his attitude alone, I would have called the credit card company for a partial charge back.

I do not believe all small business is like this, but man... I am very sad to say that literally any other pizza place in the area would have been better than these guys.

Pascales down the road donate meals during the hurricane, and have the freshest ingredients using brick ovens!

Marias in milltown is amazing with their bar pie and the friendliest to all the locals.

Mancinis is amazing brooklyn pizzas with amazing combos and seriously cant be beat. Pricey but worth it.

Sandys and Franks packs on the cheese on their pizzas.

Bellas on rt18 have the best prices around and super fast service.

I am actually quite disappointed that I decided to try these guys at all. The attitude is just insane... Their pizza is okay but you can literally better value anywhere else locally... and being a local, I totally understand why these guys are never mentioned when people ask for a...
