I really want to like this place, I mean what's not to like... great atmosphere, outstanding pizza, friendly staff, but when it comes down to it my family has given them 5 tries and unfortunately they've just struck out and we're never going back, but that's what we said after try 3 & 4 so who knows... the pizza's just so darn good! If you do go here, I'd recommend take out as the service is absolutely the worst! I hope the owner and managers read this so they can implement restaurant 101 basics and save a venue that's doomed unless drastic changes are made. Here's how it's gone every time I've eaten here: Enter & seat yourself to a dirty table that hasn't been bussed, wait 10 minutes for a server to say "Hi" and clean your table, wait another 10 minutes for them to take your drink order. Wait 15 minutes to receive your drink and place a food order, which it turns out is no longer on the menu since they ran out of ingredients. Watch several waiters & waitresses busily walk back and forth, but mostly just gossiping, flirting, drinking on the job, & hanging out with co-workers that appear off duty. Wait 30-40 minutes for your pizza. Finally get a refill on your drink after flagging down a different waiter. Ask a 3rd waitress for the bill and then waiting for 10 minutes with cash on the table for change. Look around and seeing a 5 year old resting her head on the bar and apparently waiting for silverware that was never given to her table and realizing no one brought you silverware either. See uncomfortable middle aged couples also waiting for their bill/refills/any normal semblance of customer service... finally leave with a scowl as this was by far the worst restaurant customer service ever and ruined date night!!! Somehow it gets worse every time we go here, not sure how that's possible. Again, very much want to like it, but will now tell everybody that I know not to patronize this hovel, until things...

We had 10 people in our group, when we called ahead the waitress freaked out saying she was the only one on duty and told us that the service might be bad. She was not wrong, the service was terrible. The food wasn't great either. Of the 10 people in our group five of them ordered a cup or bowl of soup, those with the cups of soup two of them ordered side salads. Two of us ordered a pasta dish. One ordered a salad. And the other two ordered the meatball appetizer with bread. The bowls of soup came out first, then we waited five 10 minutes for the cups of soup, another 10 minutes for the side salads. Another 10-15 minutes for the main dish salad into pastas and one of the Meatballs. Our last members meatballs were forgotten in the oven apparently Because by the time he got them the bread was burnt, the meatballs were burnt as well they had just been turned over to cover up the burnt. Everyone at the table could see his bread was burnt. The waitress did turn down the music for us, but she barely came back to her table at all. The business was not busy. Most of the time the waitress was just standing up at the till looking bored. I had the Bourbon Street pasta. The pasta was well overcooked, the sauce was watery. Overall I was not at all impressed. It was my first visit. And most likely will be my last. The bad lunch put quite a damper on the outing for everyone in our group. Thinking about it I don't think anyone finished their meals. I truly hope this was just a bad day, and that this restaurant is generally better but as this was my first time I was very...

Tonight was our first time trying Up North Pizza!

First off, I was so impressed when I called them to see if they had any Vegan gluten free options. The women I spoke with was so kind, knowledgeable about what was in the ingredients and willing to meet our needs any way possible! That is so appreciated and customer service goes such a long way! I just wish for the life of me I could remember her name. I called around 4:30pm today if that helps! She deserves credit for doing a great job!

We ordered pickup. The food was ready to go, even when we arrived early! Impressive! The pizza was visually appealing when we opened the box and still a perfect temperature for eating.

Now the taste - wow! It is difficult to find vegan pizza- but amazing tasting, vegan, gluten free, health cauliflower crust? We were completely blown away. We ate that bad boy in 10 minutes tops! What a great alternative for those who have allergies or who are simply trying to watch what they eat. I also loved the classy and unique selection of toppings- caramelized onions, pickled onions, artichokes, pickles, garlic sauce. Toppings you would not be able to get at any old pizza joint.

The only downside is the price- a little spendy but completely worth it for the best pizza of your life!

In the future I would love to see a vegan gluten free dessert option or some appetizer options for us. We will come in masses, I promise! As for me, I will never order pizza from any other place around here. It’s just not worth it unless you get pizza tasting as good as this...

This was our second time at Up North, was kind of disappointed this time. Service was fine, beer was good but the food was disappointing. Ordered pretzels and cheese for an appetizer and we liked the fact we could customize the specialty pizza and went 1/2 smd 1/2. She got the Duck, Duck, Goat and I got the Schnitzengiggle. First issue was we got the appetizer about 10 minutes AFTER the pizza. The cheese sauce was bland and didnt have mucn cheese flavor and the pretzels didn't have much taste at all. You'd expect a pretzel to be salty and garlicky....these were not. As far as the pizza goes, again there wasn't much flavor for either side. You'd think with bechamel, sauerkraut and thousand island youd have some pretty different tastes, but it was just bland. The DDG wasn't very tasty either. I guess for $60 for dinner, you'd think it would be tasty, unfortunately this trip was disappointing.
