Walked by the restaurant and never stopped until today. Wanted something different and was surprised lunch wasn't being served at noon, but breakfast was. Our server said they had a great breakfast and he was right. The breakfast poutine was tasty and the fries remained crisp. The chicken & Waffles was a surprise. The waffles were crunch on the outside and tender inside. They held up to the syrup very nicely. The chicken tender were made from a chicken breast, lightly seasoned and juicy. Our breakfast was a hit. We'll be back to try lunch, the truffle parmesean fries are calling our name. UPDATE July 7th, finally got a chance to have lunch and try the truffle fries. YES, they are that good, these fries are the benchmark for what fry should be. Crunchy, good truffle flavor and a good parmesan cheese, everything in perfect balance. The burgers were fantastic, to me the best in town. The garlic aioli cheeseburger with arugula was perfectly done and flavorable. The maple bacon sriracha burger was my personal favorite, not over powering and the bacon was crisp and packed with flavor. It's a must try stop! OCT 20th, just can't get enough of the pamesean truffle fries. You won't eat plain old fries again. The queso burger was fantastic. Very flavorable and the queso was well balanced. The poutine was outstanding and had great taste. I like going in Sunday mornings and you can pick either breakfast or lunch. UPDATE: Mar 2nd, another great meal. The huevos ranchero was flavor packed and a good surprise and the corned beef hash is one of best in town. What can I say about the truffles fries, they are addictive. MAY 4TH, the breakfast tacos are awesome. Flavor packed and yummy. I enjoyed the crunch on the tortilla, just right. Again, if you haven't tried the truffle fries, you dont know what you...

Went to Brick and Barley on a Wednesday night. They had 7 people staffed that we could see. As we sat down, we were greeted with menus, asked if we were ordering drinks, we said yes, and our server walked away. We were left with our drink menus and dining menus to look over. After about 10-15 minutes, someone from our group of 3 on a slow night, went up to the bar to finally order drinks. After we ordered two beers and a blueberry Moscow Mule, we were told they were out of Moscow Mule cups and so they served it in a short plastic cup. We later saw a table next to us being served the appropriate copper cup a Moscow Mule should be served in. As I ordered a second drink, asking the same I had before, they served it as a blueberry soda, so I sent it back, and still had a blueberry Moscow Mule in a short plastic glass, as we just watched again, the table next to us receive the appropriate copper cup. I don't mind a Moscow in a smaller, non copper cup, but we were never even asked or given the option for a copper cup. I was the only one out of three to order food. I had read that the entrees came with a choice of listed sides. So I ordered the Fish Po'boy with no bun and a side salad. Never offered the side salad our first, so I was surprised when I got the meal as walleye fingers, with fries and a side salad. We were charged $5 extra for the side salad, even though it was my requested side choice-not fries. As we were sitting there, we saw multiple people sit down, wait, and have to go to the bar to order. Very poor service as we had 3 different servers our entire time there, not impressed with the specialty drink quality, and food was not great for what was ordered. Not recommending this to friends or...

I recently visited Brick and Barley's Bar and unfortunately, my experience was not great. The service was incredibly slow, and it took an excessive amount of time to get our orders. When the food finally arrived, it was cold making it quite unappetizing. To top it off, the staff seemed indifferent to our concerns, which was very disappointing. I hope the management can address these issues to improve the experience for future. This was truly a 0 star rating if I do say so myself. I was expecting a fun night out but instead was greeted by staff members who harassed my friend and were constantly flirting with someone who was 30 years younger than them. Not only that I had to put a staff member in their place when they racially profiled my friend calling her all these sick and disgusting names nobody should hear. Towards the end of the night we talked to management and they were no help and instead of APOLOGIZING they Instead made the situation worse and gave us the worst attitude I’ve EVER seen before.

Obviously things about this establishment need to be redone because I have never in my life been disrespected like the way I was tonight at this bar. I’ve gone to places that have had awful food and never complained because everyone in the establishment were nice respectful people… but this has officially done it for me and want others to know that if you want to go to a place where you’ll be RESPECTED do NOT go to this establishment under ANY circumstances. Disgusting behavior from everyone in that bar and I hope that NOBODY will have to go through what I have gone through tonight.

Please for your own benefit do...

One of the better bars to go to in Downtown Grand Forks. Most of their food is made freshly made, not frozen. Our favorites are the Mac N Cheese Bites, & the Crab Cakes. Their Black Truffle & Parmesan fries are wonderful as well! Staff is friendly & easy to flag down if needed. Update 3/13/2024: It's become a regular place for us to visit. Staff is always friendly & the food has never missed the mark. We've gotten the Honey Garlic Chicken on a previous visit & the Honey Garlic Salmon on our most recent visit (we had them sub in the cilantro rice & add avocado). Both are phenomenal & makes me want to try everything on the menu.

No Hurley beer on tap was disappointing. Seat yourself and serve yourself!  We found a table and waited for a while and finally went and ordered food at the bar.  Food came with no napkins, plates or silverware.  I had to go back up to the bar and get them myself. Luckily the food did come quickly in 10 minutes and it was good.  The poutine was our favorite.  Nice dark gravy and good cheese curds topping the fries.  Cheese curds were breaded which is a bit unusual for a traditional poutine, but they were delicious! The homemade Salsa was a hot medium. Great if you like your salsa hot. Chicken tenders were good.
