David Alan's Marketplace — Restaurant in East Hanover

Very bad experience with the front desk cashier. Picked up an online order, seeing the sign with” DoorDash pick-up” on the side, I waited beside the sign to be served. It’s lunch time I understand there is a line for people checking out, so I waited with patience. But after 4-5people finished their checking, the cashier still didn’t say any word to me. This is not what a restaurant service suppose to like. I order lunch online and pick up everyday but never see this before. With obviously seeing me she ignores me on purpose, when I ask is anybody serve this side? She said, there is a line here! But why do you put a pick-up sign aside for pick-ups? And I think it’s a common sense that pick-up orders doesn’t line up in all restaurants, right? All I need is tell her the name and grab my stuff. Another short hair cashier helped me. Please stay away from the salad bar at this place. I had nothing unusual that that I’ve never eaten before from a salad bar and went back to work to enjoy my meal however, in a few hours , I felt warm, lethargic, and I’m glad I made it home and there after I regurgitated all of the food!!! I spoke to someone who says that she was/is David’s wife and declared that the food is made fresh every day! I would never eat at this place again instead of being humble and understanding she stood on the grounds that the food is made fresh every day! Wow! I was on my lunch hour and actually heading to another deli when I happen to pass by this gem.

I knew of the name because David Alan used to have a cafe in one of the buildings I used to work at. They always had fresh, fantastic food and a wonderful staff. This deli & marketplace upholds the same standards.

I was pleasantly surprised walking in to find so many different, individual food stations from smoothies to salads to pizzas to tacos (to name a few). This is especially great when you just dont know what you're in the mood for!
