New Town Food & Spirits — Restaurant in East Hempfield Township

Wow!!! Food is amazing!!! So, we have now been there three times. They have only been open about a month. I have tried something different each time. The first time I had the New Town Burger. It was sweet, savory, juicy great flavor combination. It comes with their homemade french fries that are so yummy. Next time we went he had the wings. I am not a wing person he is. He’s says there good and he would get them again. That’s a win for the wings. He eats wings everywhere and doesn’t always like them. I had a chicken cheese steak with sautéed onions and red peppers. Also serve with housemate fries. That sandwich is absolutely amazing. The chicken is smoked. The roll is fresh and again the ingredients together or just an amazing flavor last time we went and just had their French onion soup and a garden salad again very good salad nice fresh cold crisp made house Dijon dressing was delicious and the soup broth had a smoky flavor to it, which made it different than your typical French onion soup. As far as the atmosphere clean,fresh and inviting. The men’s bathroom or a must check out. They have a great patio if you prefer outside dining. The service was awesome as well. My wife and I were looking forward to coming here since we love Square Mile. Apparently there is a smoking section on one side of the porch and that is where we were seated although we are not smokers. We ordered boneless chicken wings as an appetizer and 2 beers. We were served quickly, but my wife broke her wing in half and it was uncooked in the middle. We informed our waitress who took the wings away to be replaced. Our meals arrived before the wings were replaced. I ordered a chicken cheese steak and my wife ordered steak tips. When I took the first bite of my chicken cheese steak, I bit into a fairly large bone. We brought this to our waitress’s attention and she said she would inform the kitchen. We ordered another beer each and asked for the check. I am not looking for a handout, but I thought our appetizer should have been comped at the very least. The food was okay, but tasted just a little "off." That was the consensus between myself and the other individual eating at the table. I'm not sure if the food was overcooked or if it was the combination of foods, but both the chicken and the steak sandwiches we're not that good. They were okay. The french fries were out of this world.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice. The music by the outside tables was a bit too loud. The server forgot part of my meal, and eventually, after waiting a while, I had to go back in and ask for it. The bar seemed to be the busiest area of the restaurant.
