This was my second time doing a wine and painting event (1st time at this location) and I have to say, my experience here was phenomenal to say the least. The staff is super friendly! The instructor, Melissa, who was leading the session was throughout and kept the mood mellow and stress-free, especially during more difficult parts of the painting (those damn trees!!) Her assistant, Rachel, would walk around and help with paint refills and can also assist with more difficult sections (if you forgot or miss a step, she could fill you in). You don't have to be an expert at painting at all! Heck, I went with my girlfriend and it was her first time ever painting and she got hers down pretty good.Just so everyone is aware (in case you missed it on their website) don't forget to BYOB as they do not offer and they don't sell in the store. We forgot to bring ours but the other painters were friendly enough to offer us some of theirs! Great atmosphere, a warm & welcoming environment, friendly staff, we will definitely be returning for another painting session with a larger group. 👌🏿👍🏿
UPDATE They often have an ice breaker before the session starts and the winner can "Spin the wheel" where you can win cool prizes. I believe the winning prizes changes every...
Read moreI have watched pour paint art on YouTube and became fascinated with the art that could be produced. When I saw that Painting with a Twist in Lancaster, PA offered a "Paint, Pour Party" I signed up to learn about this fascinating technic. The staff had our canvases laid out with the necessary items and great music playing in the background. The very talented artist Amy demonstrated 3 technics that we could use for our pour artwork. The hardest part of this class for me was choosing the 4 colors of paint I wanted to use. I must have changed my mind at least three times before committing to a dark blue, neon green, white and copper. Then it was time to put the paint to the canvas. Oh my goodness, it was so much fun watching the paint change with bubbles popping out, beautiful "netting" of the colors and finally realizing that I made an abstract masterpiece that had wonderful movement in peacock-like colors! I'm telling you this class is so much fun! Amy and Sam did a fantastic job helping us explore this FUN painting class. I'm excited to do a Pour...
Read moreFound that Painting with a Twist offered an "Open Studio" times during the week which works perfect for my sister and I to hang out for the day, Lancaster happens to be in the middle for each of us to drive. The whole process of signing up and picking what we wanted to so was very easy. We had to cancel and rebook and Gary was very helpful in that whole process. Arriving our hostess, Amy, was amazing. We really enjoyed her help and conversation the four hours we were there. She helped us, was always available while she was preparing and working on upcoming group bookings. My sister and I think we found our meeting spot when we get together, painting and lunch. Amy suggested we could paint for gifts and Painting with a Twist offers other items than canvas and wood. We also made a candle, for the price it was like buying one in the store and it was fun picking out the options and making it. Starting off with all the wonderful scents, painting and great company overall the time was well spent. Looking forward to our...
