I was blown away by the professionalism and expertise I found here.
I had to sell a lot of 50 prewar baseball cards I inherited. I took them in, and Adam spent 2+ hours looking through them, giving me what can only be described as a 400-level college course in sports-card valuation and collecting. He showed me comps currently posted on EBay and we looked in depth at about 10 cards, including the history of the player on the card. I knew nothing about that world going in, but understood so much afterward.
I had felt so much anxiety about who I should trust to sell these cards. Family members had told me they were worth about 5k. But this place was so thorough and honest I immediately was at ease.
After the valuation, Red Rose was willing to post the cards online for a commissioned sale. I didn’t have to do a thing. In less than 2 weeks, the cards sold for more than DOUBLE what I thought they were worth. I had cash in hand, less a very reasonable commission, a week after that.
Adam and his team were through, honest, and promtly responsive to emails and calls. Truly first-class professionalism and expertise! Most other card shops in the area never even responded to my emails or calls. This...
Read moreCard collecting is about many things but one of the best is the experience. And the experience a card enthusiast or general buyer has at Red Rose Sports Cards is a “1 of 1” type.
I highly recommend you give this place a try if you haven’t already. The selection is massive - both pack selection or individual card selection. The pricing is at a very decent value and I’ve had very good luck opening packs from here (CJ Stroud patch 03/50 is my best but many others).
If you are new to collecting or seasoned, the guys are very easy to discuss topics with and will help the best they can in anyway possible. If you want to get cards graded, for a small fee, they will send them out to SGC (I have three cards getting graded through them currently) and the process is super quick and easy.
With all the options to buy cards it may be difficult to find the right spot but for the value and experience - definitely give this place a try and I don’t think you’ll be...
Read moreHuge waste of a 45 minute drive to see if they would buy my 2024 archive series in any fashion lol. Really woulda taken 70% of what they were worth but dude looked at my stuff for a good 5 seconds and said they would not want any of it hahaha. I hadn't even pulled out everything.
About 38 archive series autograph cards spanning from Rollie Fingers, Mark Grace, Jim Palmer, Nomar Garciaparra, etc. Called them nobodies hahahaha. Told me to sell them on eBay, and I will. Just don't really understand the business structure here.
I packaged everything so tightly and neatly to come to a store 2 people have recommended to me for you to take 5 seconds to look. First, and definitely last time here.
This is entirely why I did not even want to drive to any card shop. Had the same experience when I was 12 and never wanted to go back. Dude I'm 31 now with funds, and you can expect no more of my business. I tried to...
