Centerville Diner, Lancaster PA ✔️ Location: 100 S Centerville Rd, Lancaster, PA 17603 Open hours: everyday 6AM - 9PM Restrooms inside the store, and accessible for both strollers and wheelchairs. Accessible for strollers and wheelchairs Parking: free around the building Online order: centervillediners.com Food that we ordered: 1. Soup of the day, the Manhattan style chowder. Served on a big bowl and very delicious, filled with big chunks of crabs and mixed vegetables, for $4.99 we should get one bowl for each person. 2. Kid’s menu: double chocolate chips pancakes that served in huge portions, very filling with just one pancake. 3. Centerville Omelette served with homefries and bread toast. The omelette was very delicious, filled with ham, bacon, sausage, onions, mushrooms, green peppers, and American cheese. The bread toast was amazingly good, with just butter spread inside. 4. The entree: country fried steak served with 2 your chosen style egg, homefries and bread toast. The country fried steak was amazingly marinated, juicy soft and crunchy at the same time and the gravy was just perfect. The sunny side up eggs are perfectly cooked, and don’t forget the bread toast. The Centerville diner is a family-friendly establishment serving high quality food from a huge selection of a variety of American classics alongside Greek and Italian dishes also Amish country staples. The interior decorations setting is bright and modern also warming homey feeling and cozy atmosphere. The owners are wonderful and the servers are warm and attentive. #centervillediner #centervillediner1 #lancasterpa #preservefootprints

This was our first time at this restaurant. My young granddaughter and I decided to try it out before going to THAT FISH PLACE. We were soaking wet from a downpour & very hungry. The menu is a book...so many choices. After bringing us water we told our waitress we needed more time to decide. She came back about 5 minutes later but we were still not ready. BIG MISTAKE. She didn't come back to get our order for another 10 minutes. AND she definitely had an attitude toward us. Our food took 20 minutes until we were served. Odd, because two families came in after us and were served before us. While waiting there were 2 other staff members who were loud & a little obnoxious while interacting with a customer (appeared to be a regular). Our food was good, but should not have taken 20 minutes for these dishes. I got the pork chop, my granddaughter got eggs. The waitress brought the check with the meal. Also odd, what if we wanted something else? When I go to pay there was a 3% charge to use my credit card. I paid in cash instead. I won't be returning. Food was good, hence the 2 🌟 but the staff definitely needs a personality lesson.

Update 2025: we returned to Lancaster and made it a point to come here for breakfast given our previous experience. As expected, everything that is written below is still true one year later. During our stay in the area, we will be making this hard go-to breakfast restaurant. 2024:Stopped here for breakfast, and it was a very worthwhile stop! Let's start with the meal. We ordered the special, which consisted of scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon, and coffee. The dish was served hot and neat, not sloppy like one gets at the breakfast chain brands. The bacon was cooked as requested and the sourdough toast that was still hot enough to melt the butter. Next, cleanliness. Spotless. The tables are bussed and cleaned immediately after guests depart. Service- The owner is on premises and oversees the operation in person. The staff is welcoming and inviting. As mentioned earlier, the food was served hot out of the kitchen, speaking to the wait staff's attentiveness. Great value at reasonable prices. Don't forget to check out the dessert case. The Centerville Diner is highly recommended by this reviewer.

Food was Ok, not great. Homefries were dry, and small portion. Waitress forgot to add bacon to my order, and added chicken to what was supposed to be a kids plain cheese quesadilla. My wife said her sandwich was not that great either. Service was horrible, the staff was loud in the back and you could hear the waitresses and cooks blaming one another for the messed up orders. We came in at 7:30 pm on a Sunday, they close at 9:00... they seemed very annoyed at getting a table and you could hear them complaining in the back that we came in. you could also hear the hostess complaining she had been there all day and was tired.. Our waitress was high on something, her speech was slower, almost slurred, like she was on Xanax or even heroin, who knows these days. All tattoos and jewelry, hands look dirty, stinks of cigarettes. I know most restaurant employees smoke but that's just gross. We contemplated leaving, but just decided we would never come back. Upon checking out, the manager asked me everything was, and I told him the food was ok but the service was bad, he apologized, but didn't seem to even care. Didn't comp anything, not that it really matters, diner food is cheap. Seemed like they were too concerned with cleaning up and getting Door dash deliveries out to care about the customers dining. bottom line: we will never go back to this little hole in the wall diner. There's much better diners around to ever...

We went here once when the first opened and again yesterday. I have to be honest and say the food was terrible. We both ordered lunch specials I had the stuffed chicken breast and he had the fish and crab cake with stuffed shrimp. The chicken breast was seasoned with something very odd tasting and had the texture of rubber, I'm almost positive it was microwaved (it wasn't good at all) the potatoes were very bland and the gravy was a strange, almost fluorescent yellow color and just not appetizing at all. The seafood plate was the worst of it all. There was an oily liquid all over the plate (I have no idea what it was) and the fish had no taste at all and I mean none! The crab cakes was mushy and tasted as if it was mostly made of mayo and another odd seasoning that we couldn't quite place and the shrimp was over cooked and had a rubber texture as well. We ended up not eating our food of course and will not eat there again. Our waitress was very nice and she took the seafood plate off of our bill for us and I'm sure she would have removed my dish as well but at this point we were just ready to go. We used to enjoy going to their restaurant when they were located on Columbia Ave but since they've moved it's gone way down hill as far as the cooking is concerned. Get a new cook and we might try...
