This week’s adventure brings us to the world’s very first @cartoonnetworkhotel in Lancaster, PA From the second you step into the lobby you feel like you are transported into a cartoon. With themed guest rooms you feel like your having a sleepover in one of their hit shows!! So much to do for the boys with activities throughout the day. They have an outdoor and indoor pool. Also a Power Puff Girls splash pad and a cool Ben 10 arcade also!! You can eat at the Cartoon Kitchen and sit at one of the Cartoon Network themed booths. The boys are having a blast and they are in their glory with TVs actually in their bunk beds!! This is our second time visiting and definitely will not be our last. If you’re looking for a cool little getaway check them out!! Happy Thursday friends and as always adventure on!! • • #cartoonnetwork #roadtripusa #cartoonnetworkhotel #ben10 #teentitansgo #teentitans #visitlancasterpa #all50states #adventuretime #adventureon #justgo #barebears #theamazingworldofgumball #ninjago #stevenuniverse #thingstodowithkids #coolhotels #travelfamily #takeyourkidseverywhere #travelfamilyblog #nycfamily #documentlife #seetheworld #visitpa #ilovecartoons #travelforever #experiencesoverthings #makingmemories #hosted #travelislife

Very convenient while staying at the hotel, but the service is pretty poor and the staff clearly didn’t take pride in their work. We were first here when they opened around 5pm with my wife and three kids aged 2, 5, and 7. The table was dirty and our server kept forgetting to come back to clean it. They didn’t bring placemats to color for the kids and though our server said she’d bring it out, after 10min I just went to the front and got them. The person at the front wasn’t terribly friendly about it. The place was empty so unclear why the service was so slow and our server so forgetful. Server forgot to bring my wife and my waters and also gave my daughter the wrong dish and forgot the ketchup and overall was just slow to get us everything. She was nice enough, just terribly interested in doing well at her job or maybe bad training. There are TVs in a few of the themed booths, but the show wasn’t put on full screen and still had the menu options up. Another example of the staff and restaurant not appearing to care. Anyway, the food was good enough and the atmosphere is clearly geared towards kids and right outside of the restaurant is an area for the kids to play which is very nice.

I had lower than average expectations for this place. However, the burger was good, the kids chicken tenders were ok (kids liked them), the steak tasted better than it looked (but it looked pretty sad for a 21 dollar steak), and the waitress was nice. My real grip is that it took over an hour to get our food and then it came out piece meal; they were not even busy. The kids were frustrated and hungry as 8:30 rolled around. When I complained at the front desk they told me there was nothing they could do about it. This place has potential if it were run like a real restaurant but it is under staffed; from what I could tell they did not even have anyone cleaning up tables (each table was sat at only once and left till they closed). Anyway, I suggest ordering a pizza from else where and just eating it at the cafe where they make coffee.

I really wanted to have a positive experience at the Cartoon Network Kitchen, as our stay - overall - at the Cartoon Network Hotel - was plesant. While traveling with a toddler, I wanted to remain as "one stop shop" as possible, so we opted for dinner and breakfast at the hotel as to not travel for meals, when meals were offered on-site. We arrived at the hotel on Sunday, at 4pm for check-in. Dinner, as advertised on the schedule, was 5pm - 9pm. We arrived at dinner before 7pm, and we were told they were out of several options we wanted to order: nachos, applesauce and Birch Beer. The menu was very limited in options, and while the website advertised both vegetarian and gluten free options, there were few. The meal worked in a pinch, but it was disappointing that they were out of options. Breakfast, as advertised, was 7:30am-11am. We arrived at breakfast prior to 9am to near empty trays of food and lack of staff to attend to refilling the stations. Again, the restaurant lacked gluten free options, and the environment seemed under-staffed. The employee who took our drink order also refilled the coffee station and then rang us up to pay. The employees seemed overwhelmed and not able to keep up with the crowd and inventory control. It felt as if the restaurant did not anticipate a Memorial Day Weekend crowd and the low inventory of items showed. It was disappointing that the Bearista Cafe was not open on Memorial Day Monday as an option for coffee/breakfast. The floors of the restaurant were extremely sticky, which was...

Before you decide to not take me seriously hear me out. If one reads my previous reviews notice that I am out to a large variety of local restaurants with my significant at all of Lancaster’s prime very often. Having come across this restaurants menu I was surprised how accommodating it was to our tastes. We find what be a fair amount of good vegan, vegetarian food in a fun environment. The last time that I had a child age appropriate to other attendees was probably 15 years. When one walks in there were cartoon characters ushering us toward the Cartoon Kitchen. The atmosphere is as expected, purely cartoon and children and young children milling about. While you will get you own table and chairs it will remind you of your childhood…duh.. We ended up with 3 apps, Brussel sprouts, cauliflower and pot stickers, all 3 as my date stated beat what we had 2 weeks before at a top Lancaster restaurant, and ended with an amazing dessert lol, what is called a Bear Stack Cake. When leaving I stated that it was a little loud, and my lady friend stated, Yep but so are some of the high-priced places downtown but that is alcohol induced this is kid fun induced. So, certainly not for a hot date or anniversary night, but if you are out for some really good fun, GREAT SERVICE at a reasonable price supported by a kitchen open till 10...
