HORRIBLE dining experience. My wife and I were greeted by our waitress, who, while exchanging pleasantries after we were seated, sarcastically said she was "living the dream" working at the restaurant. When the complimentary loaf of bread was brought to the table, it was rather hard & a bit stale, & no knife was provided to cut it with (we used a steak knife from our silverware set). The butter was hard, not softened, making it nearly impossible to spread. My cloth napkin (wrapped around my silverware) was stained. We both ordered a cup of shrimp & lobster bisque, which was served warm, not hot. It had a decent flavor, which is more than we can say for the rest of our meal... I ordered a fillet with crabcake; my wife ordered a "Flo's Fillet". When brought to the table, my order was correct, but my wife recieved what appeared to be a flat, thin sirloin steak instead of the 2" thick fillet like I had on my plate. We questioned our waitress, who brought the manager to our table. She (the manager) explained to us that they cut their own steaks on site, & that perhaps her steak wasn't "fluffed up" like mine... REALLY?!? She came across as completely clueless as to the difference in the steaks they serve as we tried to explain to her what a fillet mignon should look like. Both steaks were over-seasoned, so much so that my wife and I found ourselves draining our water glasses. My side of asparagus was a half dozen oversized stalks with woody bases...fully 1/3 of each stalk was inedible. And as our waitress brought us our check, she exclaimed "Merry Christmas - here's my gift to you!" as she handed it to me. Lousy staff, lousy food, lousy management. Needless to say, we won't be dining here at this location again, ever. And as a side note, the couple seated next to us left before their food was brought out...not sure if their experience was as bad as ours, but we're...
Read moreTold it would be about 1 hr for 6 of us due to Social distancing and reduced capacity. Gave my number to receive text when table is ready. Checked back at around 1 hr 10 min. Told we were next. Waited a bit longer, lost track of time but around 2 hours checked again and were told a text was sent and it was not. Told 3 different reasons for the missing text. Had to eat at separate tables. Our drinks took a very long time to get to the table. We were told baked potatoes could not be ordered because of cooking issues. I have celiac disease and have to order gluten free so I ordered off the allergy menu; understanding there is risk. When our food came, my mom did not get the filet she ordered and it was well done vs med rare that she ordered. I got a ribeye but it was well vs the medium I ordered. I was given mashed potatoes plain when I ordered loaded. My moms was cold. My mom sent hers back. I didn’t need loaded mashed and I do not send food back as I have heard so many horror stories of bodily fluids be added. Anyway, several bites into my meal, come to find out we were given the wrong food. I expressed my concerns about the possible cross contamination of gluten and it was essentially brushed aside and I was told “it should be fine”. My mom got no salad dressing on her salad; my aunt got too much. None of the tables got bread. No refills on beverages and wait staff was mainly absent. We paid full price. No discount or free meal for their MULTIPLE errors and possible contamination which would have damaged my intestines and caused me to be vomiting for 1-2 hours followed by days/weeks of bloating and malabsorption. This was the WORST longhorn experience ever. If I could give a negative, I would. I cannot imagine what it is like at...
Read moreNever in my entire 6 years of being a disabled person with a service animal has this ever happened to me! I came in for a night of good food and not having to clean up the dishes! The food was great! Service was quick! I never in my entire 6 years of being a service dog handler ever have a company protect me and my service animal! We got done with our meal and my Service dog (SD) was under the table minding her own business! 2 ladies walk in 1 is holding her SD (I'll call it that, as that's what she said it was). Andrew and I are finishing dinner and I got up to use the restroom. I got my SD from under the table and that was when all hell broke loose! The other SD went ballistic! Barking barking barking! I just kept walking and we ignored them. After I finished my business I went back to the table and the dog went off again! I was told by my boyfriend that a manager already told them that there SD wasn't allowed to cause a disturbance. After the second round of barking the manager came over again (she was very quiet about it as I was fairly close and could not hear her!) And the lady screamed at her saying "my dog had been attacked by big dogs before that's why he acts that way!" The lady and her Fake SD left. I felt bad as I felt it was partially my fault as I own a SD and if I didn't bring her. The other lady could have stayed. I want to say thank you! Thank you long horn for being a strong company that protects those that can't protect themselves! Thank you to management that was quick and polite about it! I will always go to a long horn knowing that my rights are protected! I wish more and more companies would be like this and stand up to those fake SDs!...
