Cottage Inn Pizza East Lansing — Restaurant in East Lansing

I ordered delivery last night and it never arrived. I ordered at 12:50am. Estimated time was 2am, figured they were busy so I waited before giving a call. Called at 2:20am, the woman I spoke to said my pizza had just gotten out the oven and they were waiting on a delivery person. Waited until 3:30am and never got my pizza. They close at 3, so I couldn't speak to anyone on the phone. When I called this morning to speak to a manager, Joe, he didn't care and said there was nothing he can do. He told me a delivery person was dispatched at 1:50 and returned with my food which makes no sense because the woman I spoke to said my pizza just came out at 2:20. I never got a call or text or anything from them if a delivery person was ever even headed my way. Super disappointed, you'd think the manager would care, offer some type of coupon or compensation or SOMETHING, even say "I'm sorry about that". But nothing. Terrible customer service, he kept making excuses and saying...

Staff are all sweet hearts but 0$ tip delivery orders make it so our staff don't make minimum wage some times this is not a paid promotion

Plz be kind to our drivers and make sure you tell them clearly your address and read it back pleaaase and thank you when they take your order

In light of us social distancing right now (our personal choice) we struggled with decision to even order pizza. I will say, not only can you easily order online, you can pay and TIP YOUR DRIVER. You can specify exactly what you want. Better than in the store when you order in person imo. Also, they have good deals and the quality is so worth it. So many toppings. The breadsticks are super good, especially because they have the cream cheese garlic dipping sauce 😋 I simply indicated in my delivery instructions to please ring doorbell and leave order on doormat (to be cautious), and they did no problem. I made sure to sanitize the soda and cups the sauces came in and wash before and after. Totally different than our normal routine but it works.
